  • Patent number: 8001681
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for identification of an electronic assembly, when used multiple times in a larger system, to change its location status in a system based on its mounting configuration. The mounting configuration dictates the identification and thus reduces incorrect identification settings and the need for complicated installation instructions. In at least one embodiment, the identification is determined by the location of a fastener, such as a grounding fastener, on the assembly.

  • Publication number: 20100109545
Abstract: A system and method for compensating for degradation of a light emitting diode includes accumulating time that the light emitting has been lit. An additional amount of drive current to be provided to the light emitting diode is determined based on the accumulated time that the light emitting diode has been lit. The system includes a controller that accumulates the time that the light emitting diode has been lit and determines the amount of addition drive current to be provided to the light emitting diode.
