Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and system for identification of an electronic assembly, when used multiple times in a larger system, to change its location status in a system based on its mounting configuration. The mounting configuration dictates the identification and thus reduces incorrect identification settings and the need for complicated installation instructions. In at least one embodiment, the identification is determined by the location of a fastener, such as a grounding fastener, on the assembly.
