Abstract: One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a system that can provide training for an operating room staff member. The system can include a hand device with a housing that can be configured to receive an input of a device from the operating room staff member. Inside the housing, the hand device can include a non-transitory memory that stores instructions and a processor that can be configured to execute the instructions to at least: provide an instruction related to placing a surgical instrument in the hand device to the operating room staff member; receive a test surgical instrument from the operating room staff member in response to the instruction; and determine whether the test surgical instrument matches the instructed surgical instrument.
