Publication number: 20240325064Abstract: Misaligned bones on opposite sides of a joint are aligned using a first rigid extension securable to one of the misaligned bones using a particular surgical approach, and a second rigid extension having a contacting surface positionable in contact with the other the two misaligned bones from the same surgical approach. The first and second rigid extensions are moved with respect to each other using a lever, whereby a pulling force is exerted on one of the bones, and a pushing force on the other, thereby aligning the first and second misaligned bones.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 23, 2023Publication date: October 3, 2024Inventors: Marcin Niemiec, Duncan Sibson, Noah Hansell, Chad Glerum, Colm McLaughlin, Daniel Davenport, Mark Weiman, Jason Gray, Khiem Pham, Michael Black, Ben Silber, Mark Fromhold, Andrew Iott, Kathleen Hill, John Gilbert, Richard Castle

Patent number: 12076250Abstract: A spacer separates bones of a joint using a driver tool having a threaded shaft. The spacer has a superior endplate with inferior facing ramps, and an inferior endplate with superior facing ramps. Two bearings are positioned between the endplates, each bearing has superior facing ramps which mate with the inferior facing ramps of the superior endplate, and inferior facing ramps which mate with the superior facing ramps of the inferior endplate. One bearing has a threaded aperture, and the other a thrust surface. A threaded shaft is threaded into the threaded aperture to push against the thrust surface to drive the bearings apart. As the bearings move apart, the mated ramps slide against each other to drive the superior and inferior endplates apart.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2022Date of Patent: September 3, 2024Assignee: Globus Medical, Inc.Inventors: Tyler Hessler, Chad Glerum, Mark Weiman, Albert Hill, Myles Sullivan

Patent number: 11899683Abstract: A digital asset management system (DAMS) provides an integrated user experience for the rapid and facile manipulation of a users digital assets in an online environment. Spanning the spectrum of digital assets, the DAMS system set forth herein enables users to tag, fitter, collect, and show such digital assets in a manner which requires preferably minimal user interaction in order to achieve digital asset management and exhibition. Sharing among friends and family becomes much easier and incoming digital assets may be automatically segregated according to user choices or history to enable easier management of such assets. Recognition of relationships, characteristics, features, and the like between different assets may occur automatically and develop an ongoing fashion to enable association of such similar assets into “collections” or the like.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2021Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.Inventors: Lucas McGregor, Mike Depaoli, Adrian Gould, Chad Hill, Michael Thomas Ritchie, Kyle Kincaid, Glenn Lingle, Joseph Provost, Maria Vazquez
