  • Publication number: 20260216558
Abstract: A wearable assistance device that includes a lower-body interface, an upper-body interface, and an elastic member coupling the upper-body interface to the lower-body interface. The elastic member has first and second elements associated with the lower-body and upper-body interfaces, respectively. The first and second elements are configured to provide an assistive force to the back of the wearer. A clutch mechanism is associated with the elastic member. The clutch mechanism is configured for selectively adjusting the assistive force provided by the first and second elements of the elastic member. A transmission member is positioned between the first and second elements and extends from the clutch mechanism such that the clutch mechanism is spaced away from the second element of the elastic member. The transmission member is configured to redirect forces between the first and second elements.

  • Publication number: 20180340682
Abstract: A light weight lighting module and devices including the same are disclosed. The module includes a printed circuit board with a first side and a second side, each including a conductive layer disposed thereon. The printed circuit board also includes thermal vias disposed therein, in thermal contact with the conductive layers on the first and second sides. One or more light sources are attached to the first side of the printed circuit board, such as high power light emitting diodes or laser light sources. A heat sink is attached to the second side of the printed circuit board. The light source(s) and heat sink are in thermal contact with the thermal vias of the printed circuit board so that thermal energy from the light source(s) can be transferred to the heat sink. The thermally-conductive layers and heat sink remain electrically isolated from the light source(s).
