Abstract: A bed lift includes a bed support mechanism used to hold a bed in a raised position. The bed support mechanism includes a catch mechanism and a release mechanism. The release mechanism is configured to move the catch mechanism between an engaged position where the catch mechanism holds the bed in the raised position and a disengaged position where the catch mechanism does not hold the bed in the raised position.

Abstract: A structure includes a bed movable between a sleeping configuration, where the bed is lowered and oriented horizontally, and a stowed configuration, where the bed is raised. A bed lift can be used to move the bed. The bed lift can include a bed support bracket coupled to a guide rail or to a wall of the structure and another bed support bracket coupled to the bed. The bed support brackets can interlock when the bed is in the sleeping configuration to reduce or prevent side-to-side horizontal movement. The bed lift can also include a flexible drive member and a drive shaft.

The outer wall has an outer face, an inner face, an upper end, and a lower end. The lower end is open. A slot extends into the inner face from the lower end to receive a top end of a ladder side rail and an uppermost rung of the ladder into the slot. A top edge of the slot defines a stop whereby the stop rests upon the uppermost rung of the ladder. A coupler is mounted to the sleeve. The coupler releasably engages the uppermost rung of the ladder.

Abstract: Various embodiments of structures with one or more movable beds and bed lifts capable of moving one or more beds are described. In one embodiment, a structure includes a bed movable between a sleeping configuration, a stowed configuration, and a split configuration where one portion of the bed is lowered and another portion of the bed is raised. In another embodiment, a structure includes a bed movable between a sleeping configuration, a stowed configuration, a first seating configuration where the bed forms a seating unit facing one direction, and a second seating configuration where the seating unit faces another direction. In another embodiment, a structure includes a slide-out room movable between a retracted position and an extended position and a bed movable between a sleeping configuration and a stowed configuration. The bed is positioned in the area in the structure into which the slide-out room retracts.

Abstract: A thermal treatment reactor for feedstocks and method of use. The thermal treatment reactor comprises an infeed assembly, a furnace, a rotary drum, a discharge assembly, and a liberator assembly. The rotary drum may comprise forwarding flights, mixing flights, oscillating flights, and raking pins. The feedstock to be thermally treated enters the reactor through the infeed assembly. The feedstock is fed into the reactor in a controlled manner by means of a screw conveyor system. The thermally-treated product exits the reactor via the discharge assembly, which separates the thermally treated product into a VOC liberator, from whence the product enters into a cooling system to reduce the temperature for safe storage and handling.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing concrete from waste plastic. The waste plastic may be in the form of used baling twine. The used baling twine may contain residue from the baled material, such as hay, alfalfa, or other animal fodder, for example. This organic residue may include cellulose fibers, sugars, and alkalis from the fodder. Baling twine may be processed into a fiber which is then mixed into the cementitious mixture. Concrete made from such a mixture may have improved mechanical performance due to the included organic residue, such as increased tensile strength and energy absorption capabilities, for example.

Abstract: Methods and compositions for stabilized, emulsified aqueous resin and/or polymer emulsions within aqueous fluids characterized by extreme chemical environment having high ionic strengths and/or extremes of pH are provided. The methods include combining an organic premix comprising an aqueous fluid and the emulsified aqueous resin/emulsion polymers with a high hydrophobic-lipophilic balance (HLB) surfactant and a fluid having an extreme chemical environment (e.g., an acidic passivate) to yield a composition wherein the emulsified aqueous resins are stabilized. Other methods include combining an emulsified aqueous resin/emulsion polymer with a high hydrophobic-lipophilic balance (HLB) surfactant and a fluid having an extreme chemical environment (e.g., an acidic passivate) to yield a composition wherein the emulsified aqueous resins are stabilized.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a lift are disclosed. In some embodiments, the lift is part of a vehicle and includes a guide rail, a carriage coupled to the guide rail, and a mounting bracket coupled to the carriage where the mounting bracket can move vertically relative to the carriage. In some embodiments, the lift can include an electric motor positioned at the top of the guide rail and the mounting bracket can be offset to the side to allow a vehicle accessory that is coupled to the mounting bracket to clear the electric motor when it is raised. In some embodiments, the lift can include a flexible support line extending upward from a lower anchor point to one side of the bed, across the bed to the opposite side of the bed, and upward from the opposite side of the bed to an upper anchor point.
