  • Patent number: 12139828
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a knitted multi-layer fabric construction that provides the ability to cool skin to below a current temperature whether wetted or dry. The knit uses four separate yarns which collectively work together to produce enhanced cooling. Knits can include warp knit, seamless, hosiery, flat bed, spacer, and double knits. Various finishing methods may also be employed to enhance the cooling power of the fabric.

  • Publication number: 20240317285
Abstract: A method for assigning train blocks at a railroad merchandise yard includes determining, using a first optimization model and outbound train schedule data, a first list of train block assignments for a planning horizon. The method further includes determining whether an unassigned train block volume from the first optimization model is greater than zero. The method further includes displaying the first list of train block assignments generated by the first optimization model on an electronic display in response to determining that the unassigned train block volume from the first optimization model is not greater than zero. The method further includes, in response to determining that the unassigned train block volume from the first optimization model is greater than zero: determining and then displaying on the electronic display a second list of train block assignments for the planning horizon using a second optimization model and the outbound train schedule data.

  • Publication number: 20240215669
Abstract: A cooling garment, and a method of construction thereof, includes: a first layer configured to be adjacent to a wearer's skin and comprising exemplary cooling fabrics capable of providing a conductive cooling effect when preferably when wet-activated; a second layer adjacent to the first layer and comprising a spacer material that allows for convective air flow; and a third layer adjacent to the second layer and comprising perforated holes in order to enhance the airflow to the first and second layers.

  • Patent number: 11995989
Abstract: To visualize planned behavior of an autonomous vehicle (AV) traveling along a roadway, a user interface engine receives data describing a planned pathway of the AV along the roadway and object data describing an object having a predicted pathway crossing the planned pathway of the AV at a cross point. The user interface engine classifies the object either an asserting object or a yielding object based on a prediction of whether the object reaches the cross point before the AV or after the AV. The user interface engine generates an image that includes the planned pathway of the AV and the object in the environment of the AV. The image of the object indicates whether the object is classified as an asserting object or a yielding object.
