Abstract: A transition strip for covering a gap between two spaced floor finishes on a subfloor comprising: a strip extending along a longitudinal axis and presenting in cross-section to said longitudinal axis: an upper surface adapted for covering the gap; spaced first and second legs depending from said strip, said first leg longer than said second leg; a first lower surface portion extending outwardly from said first leg said first lower surface portion adapted to cover one edge of the two spaced floor finishes; a second lower surface portion extending outwardly from said second leg, said second lower portion adapted to cover an edge of the other one of the two spaced floor finishes. A method for installing transition strips is also described.
