  • Patent number: 10060564
Abstract: A quick connect apparatus that can accommodate rotational torque and includes a male coupling member, a female coupling member, and a locking collar. The male coupling member has an engaging element, a detent groove on an outer surface, and a tubular configuration that allows fluids to pass through. The female coupling member has an engaging element that is complementary to the engaging element of the male coupling member, at least one detent ball, and a tubular configuration that allows fluids to pass through. The locking collar surrounds an outer surface of the female coupling member and can engage the detent ball of the female coupling member. The engaging element of the male coupling member engages the engaging element of the female coupling member to prevent the male coupling member from rotating relative to the female coupling member when pressure is present within the male coupling member and female coupling member.
