Abstract: Surface plasmon resonance-based methods for detecting and characterizing preexisting and/or treatment-induced anti-viral vector antibodies against viral vector-based gene therapy compositions in a biological sample from a subject are described.

Abstract: Certain embodiments involve stopping potential flagged email, such spam, before it becomes flagged email. For instance, certain embodiments can make a prediction (e.g., spam or other flagged email) about a “proposed” email message to a list of email addresses of proposed recipients. The flagged email prediction is generated based on the list of email addresses of recipients. The flagged email prediction can involve using stored data about historic email addresses, historic lists of email addresses, historic email transactions, or some combination thereof to calculate historic hard bounce rates. The historic hard bounce rates can be used to train processes to calculate the hard bounce rates for the email addresses on the list and the list of email addresses.

Abstract: Systems and methods for open domain question-answering are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of providing answers to a question includes retrieving, by a computing device, a plurality of passages relevant to a search query generating a plurality of question-passage pairs, wherein each question-passage pair includes the search query and an individual passage of the plurality of passages, and determining, using a computer model, a probability that a passage of each question-passage pair of at least some of the plurality of question-passage pairs is an answer to a question posed by the search query. The method also includes displaying, on an electronic display, a selected passage of a question-passage pair having a highest probability that the passage is the answer to the question posed by the search query.

A hard bounce rate is predicted for the list of email addresses based on hard bounce rates calculated for respective email addresses on the list. If predicted hard bounce rate exceeds a threshold, the proposed email is deemed spam and sender may be informed. If predicted hard bounce rate falls within range of the threshold, proposed email may be sent to less than all the email addresses on list. If an acceptable number of the sent emails are received, the email may be sent to remaining email addresses on list. Prior to sending proposed email, the list of email addresses may be compared to purchased lists of email addresses. If there is a match, the proposed email may be deemed spam.

Abstract: A fire starting device comprised of a hand covering impregnated with a solid fuel and optionally other consumption safe additives. Unlike other fire starting devices, this fire starting glove can be safely worn by the user while preparing a fire starting site such as a charcoal grill or wood burning stove to protect the wearer's hands from dirt, grease, grime and minor injuries such as cuts or scrapes. Once the fire site is prepared and the user is ready to start the fire, the glove is removed from the hand by pulling from the wrist end which turns the glove inside out, encasing any dirt, grease, grime, etc. The glove can then be placed in the fire starting site and lit with a match or butane lighter, etc. and covered with charcoal, etc. to start the desired fire.

Abstract: A beverage bottle holder forms a hollow sleeve, which is contoured to surround the bottle and a portion of the bottle neck. The holder has a transverse member extending about a bottom opening of the holder for frictionally engaging at least a portion of the bottle bottom. Grooves and ridges formed in the upper part of the holder facilitate engagement of the bottle neck by the insulating sleeve.
