  • Patent number: 7642665
Abstract: A portable genset with an engine driving a generator mounted to a frame and positioned within an enclosure. The enclosure includes front and rear hoods that are hingedly mounted adjacent opposite ends of the genset. The hoods may be hinged open to permit access to either of the engine or the generator. The genset may also include a tongue with a hitch mounted an outer end permitting the genset to be towed. The tongue may be movable between an extended position and a generally vertical position.

  • Patent number: 6478317
Abstract: A swing-frame auxiliary axle system for a work vehicle having a main frame including spaced chassis rails is disclosed which includes a pivot frame having a pair of spaced pivot arms connected by a common torque tube and each of which is pivotally mounted to a vehicle chassis rail, the spaced pivot arms including at least one tag axle and wheel and a cross member at the other end. An operating system is provided for moving the auxiliary axle assembly between a stowed and a support position. An independent modular arm pivot joint and attachment system pivotally mount each of the spaced pivot arms to a corresponding one chassis rails. The operating system also has a tag lever fixed to the torque tube and a hydraulic operating cylinder having a rod end journaled about an independent modular tag lever pivot joint and attachment system, connected between the rod end and the tag lever removably attaching the cylinder rod to operate the tag lever.

  • Patent number: 6371499
Abstract: An auxiliary axle system for a work vehicle is disclosed including a pair of spaced arms pivotally mounted to the vehicle, at least one tag axle and wheel and a cross member and a latch pin carried on one arm. An operating system for moving the auxiliary axle assembly between a raised stowed position and a ground engaging support position is provided with a modular latch mechanism for retaining the auxiliary axle assembly in the elevated position by containing the latch pin. The modular latch mechanism is carried on a base plate mounted as a unit through adjustable bolt slots behind an existing vehicle metal structure so that only a hook device extends beyond the plate.

  • Patent number: 6247713
Abstract: A swing-frame auxiliary axle system for a work vehicle and method of assembling is disclosed that includes a pivot frame having a pair of spaced pivot arms having a pivot end and a free end and being connected to carry a common transverse torque tube close to the free end thereof, each arm being pivotally mounted to a vehicle chassis rail near the pivot end, the torque tube including a pair of tag axles attached thereto and wheels. The system is provided with a pivot frame alignment system for intrinsically aligning the pivot spaced arms and the torque tube in proper transverse relation for ease in assembling or re-assembling and stability in operating.

  • Patent number: 5501567
Abstract: This invention pertains to a combined refuse vehicle and refuse side loaded and recycling curbside collector vehicle. Recycled materials may be placed either in (i) a hopper which is elevated and tilted to discharge into the upper, open end of a recycling bin or (ii) to elevate roller cart vehicles into an upper loading position. In either event, the bins are side tilted and displaced transversely of the vehicle axis for roll-off clearance. Refuse is loaded at curbside level and forced into a packer body from the body up whereby previously charged refuse acts to compress subsequently charged refuse. A tag axle-drive axle system is disclosed which, by means of a proportioning valve, causes the legal loads on the tag axle-drive axle combination to be reached simultaneously.
