Patent number: 11898737Abstract: A light fixture may include a caged frame that includes spokes enclosing a globe. The frame may be configured to enable removal of one or more of the spokes to create clearance for replacement of a broken globe. The frame may include one or more frame bases. Each frame base may include inner and outer supports that retain ends of spokes therebetween when the fixture is assembled. The outer support may be configured to retain some spoke ends in a manner that may require a tool to remove them from the outer support. The inner support may be configured to enable one or more spoke ends to be removed from the inner support without a tool. The frame bases may be loosened to remove one or more removable spokes to create a temporarily larger clearance in the frame for globe replacement.Type: GrantFiled: July 3, 2023Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: W Schonbek LLCInventors: Roslyn Yando, Chad Recore

Patent number: 11582845Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a lighting fixture(s), a computer program product and a computer-implemented method that include program code executed by a processor(s) that obtains a request to implement a specified lighting pattern in the lighting fixture(s). Each lighting fixture includes effect lighting communicatively coupled to the processor(s) and functional lighting (oriented to illuminate a surface below the lighting fixture) communicatively coupled to the processor(s). The program code identifies the specified lighting pattern in a memory communicatively coupled to the processor(s), which includes a sequence for illuminating a portion of the effect lighting elements. The processor(s) executes the specified lighting pattern in the lighting fixture(s).Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2021Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Inventors: Andrew Schuyler, Chad Recore, Gaetano Ling, Elger Oberwelz, Courtney Song, Tobias Toft, Aaron Wansch, Brian Wong, Joseph Fledderman

Patent number: 7347594Abstract: Arrangements and methods for mounting decorative ornaments and fixtures having decorative ornaments are disclosed. The decorative ornaments may be, for example, beads, crystals, or gems. In one aspect, an arrangement is provided including a frame having an aperture and at least one ornament mounting post projecting from the frame, wherein the ornament is retained by the mounting post when the ornament is mounted on the mounting post. The ornament is mounted to the post by first deflecting the post to a first position, mounting the ornament, and then deflecting the post to its original position whereby the ornament is retained by the post and the aperture. In one aspect, ornaments may be mounted to apertures in a frame by means of one or more wires, for example, a wire passing through a plurality of ornaments. The arrangements and methods may be used for ornamental fixtures, for example, chandeliers and lamps.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2006Date of Patent: March 25, 2008Assignee: Schonbek Worlwide Lighting, Inc.Inventors: Georg Bayer, Andrew Schuyler, Andrew Schonbek, Tho Ly, Chad Recore
