Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a playlist on a device for a user of a music service are provided. In embodiments, a method includes initiating an online mode of the music service, where the device is connected to a music service server, and storing, in a cache memory of the device, at least one media object accessed by the user using the music service. The method further includes identifying the at least one media object as satisfying a pre-designated condition, and in response, automatically adding the at least one media object to a playlist stored in the cache memory. The method also includes receiving an indication, via a user interface of the device, to initiate an offline mode of the music service, where the device is not connected to the music service server, and upon initiating the offline mode, enabling playback of the playlist from the cache memory.

During operation in the online mode, the device can stream media objects from the music service. While still operating in the online more, the music service can identify additional media objects accessible through the music service to be stored in the playlist at a cache memory of the device. The music service can identify the additional media items by determining that the additional media objects satisfy one or more pre-designated conditions. The device can also operate in an offline mode, where the device is not connected to the music service. During operation in the offline mode, the device cannot stream media objects from the music service, but can playback the additional media objects stored in the playlist.

Abstract: A device for heating and cooling an enclosed area, such as the passenger of a motor vehicle. The device includes a temperature control unit for a user to interface with the device and allow the setting of the threshold operating temperatures. A temperature switch is used to control the initiation and termination of the heating and cooling unit. When an upper threshold is reached, the temperature switch indicates to a control unit to place the heating and cooling unit in cool mode and blow cool air into the enclosed area until the ambient temperature is cooled below the upper threshold, whereby the heating and cooling unit is deactivated. Similarly, when a lower threshold is passed, the temperature switch indicates to the control unit to place the heating and cooling unit in heat mode and blow heated air into the enclosed area until the ambient temperature is heated above the lower threshold, whereby the heating and cooling unit is deactivated. This device being powered by solar panels.
