  • Publication number: 20230382496
Abstract: A watercraft has a retractable lift-propulsion system including a mast connected to a buoyant body of the watercraft and movable between retracted and deployed positions. A distance between a distal end of the mast and a lower surface of the buoyant body is greater in the deployed position than in the retracted position. A lift-propulsion assembly includes a hydrofoil for providing lift to the watercraft at least in the deployed position of the mast and a propulsion unit for providing thrust to the watercraft in the retracted and deployed positions of the mast. The lift-propulsion assembly is connected to the distal end of the mast such that, in the deployed position of the mast, the lift-propulsion assembly is distanced from the buoyant body of the watercraft and, in the retracted position of the mast, the lift-propulsion assembly is proximate the buoyant body of the watercraft.

  • Patent number: 11731740
Abstract: A seating system for marine vessels including a seat back, a seat cushion, and a seat substructure. The seat substructure is disposed beneath and supports the seat cushion. The seat substructure includes bi-lateral curved tracks and the seat back is slidingly engaged with each of the bi-lateral curved tracks. A seat arm is attached to either side of said seat back, extending through said seat cushion and slidingly attached to a respective bi-lateral curved track. A friction-defeating traveler track can be attached to the seat arm and engages the track. The seat back is readily moveable along the bi-lateral curved tracks between at least a first position and a second position along said track. The seat can be translated along the tracks between at least the two positions with one hand without the need to release or lock any mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20220169339
Abstract: A multihull watercraft has at least three hulls extending longitudinally along the watercraft. The hulls at least partly define a port side tunnel and a starboard side tunnel therebetween. A port deflection device is configured to engage water in response to the watercraft leaning toward the port side when turning. The port deflection device is laterally aligned with the port side tunnel. A starboard deflection device is configured to engage water in response to the watercraft leaning toward the starboard side when turning. The starboard deflection device is laterally aligned with the starboard side tunnel. Each of the deflection devices includes an angled surface extending downwardly and rearwardly from an upper tunnel surface of a corresponding one of the tunnels. The angled surface is positioned to remain above a water line when the multihull watercraft is at rest on water.

  • Patent number: 8899169
Abstract: A platform for a vessel that includes integrated and stowable seating. The platform comprises a platform surface, at least one seating recess, and at least one seat back panel. The seating recess is disposed below the platform surface. The seat back panel has an inner surface and an opposing outer surface and is pivotably attached to the seating recess to provide a plurality of operative positions, including an open seating position and a closed position. In the closed position, the outer surface of the seat back panel is substantially flush with respect to the platform surface, providing a continuous and unobstructed boarding/swimming platform. The open seating position provides an aftward seating configuration. Both the seating recess and seat back panel can removably receive cushions for added comfort and support of the user. The configuration maximizes usable platform space when the seat back panels are closed.
