The large muscle exercise machine includes a base frame, a support platform, a telescoping handlebar support, a handlebar, a first handle, a second handle, a first compression-adjustment mechanism, and a second compression-adjustment mechanism. The support platform is slideably engaged along the base frame to allow the user to position the support platform along the base frame. The telescoping handlebar support supports the handlebar. The first handle is rotatably mounted to the handlebar through the first compression-adjustment mechanism. Similarly, the second handle is rotatably mounted to the handlebar through the second compression-adjustment mechanism. The first compression-adjustment mechanism allows the user to adjust the resistance to rotation for the first handle.
