    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling transmission power of the base station in a wireless communication system and includes calculating signal-to-noise ratio of a target component carrier and recovering the signal-to-noise ratio to be equal to or greater than a threshold by increasing a transmission power to a predetermined level and requesting, when the signal-to-noise ratio is less than a predetermined threshold, a neighbor base station to decrease the transmission power. According to the present invention, it is possible to suppress the inter-cell interference and improve channel utilization efficiency, resulting in improvement of the throughput of the wireless communication system.

The method according to an embodiment of the present invention is advantageous to transmit a message in case where the recipient routing information is not provided.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting data in a wireless communication network are provided. A base station having information of an idle mode user equipment transmits a connecting operation mode to the user equipment when the idle mode user equipment is connected to the base station. The user equipment transmits a small amount of data together with a connection request completion message to the base station. The base station transmits, over a network, the data received from the user equipment, without being interlinked with a mobility management entity, and the user equipment returns back to an idle operation mode after data transmission. Thus, the overhead required to support signaling of the base station for acquiring context information of the user equipment can be reduced in order to provide the user equipment with an efficient data transmission environment.
