    Abstract: A method for automatically recognizing a photographed image in an automatic recognition mode in a mobile terminal are disclosed. The mobile terminal includes an image input unit capable of photographing the image and a memory capable of storing the image. The automatic recognition mode allows automatic recognition of characters. The method comprise setting the automatic recognition mode; and controlling the photographed image to be stored in the memory, the characters to be recognized from the photographed image, and the recognized characters to be stored, in the set automatic recognition mode.
