  • Patent number: 11540757
Abstract: Presented is a system and method for assessing the functional ability of a person to perform a task. The system comprises: a task identification unit adapted to identify the task to be performed by the person; and a task complexity unit adapted to obtain a task-specific complexity signal representative of a required level of functional ability to perform the identified task. A functional ability unit is adapted to obtain a functional ability signal representative of a determined functional ability of the person. An assessment unit is adapted to determine an ability of the person to perform the identified task based on the task-specific complexity signal and the functional ability signal.

  • Patent number: 11116403
Abstract: There is provided a method, apparatus and system for method for tailoring at least one subsequent communication to a user. Data acquired on the user in connection with a plurality of communications to the user is processed to determine a value for one or more characteristics indicative of a state of the user in connection with each communication. At least one communication parameter is varied in respect of each communication. The values for the one or more characteristics indicative of the state of the user that are determined in connection with each communication are compared to identify one or more communication parameters that are most suitable for the user. One or more communication parameters are set for the at least one subsequent communication to the user according to the one or more identified communication parameters. The subsequent communication to the user is enabled based on the set one or more communication parameters.

  • Publication number: 20210244344
Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided an apparatus (2) for detecting an epileptic seizure in a subject, the apparatus (2) comprising a processing unit (4) configured to obtain head movement measurements, wherein the head movement measurements are measurements of movements of a head of the subject; obtain pupil position measurements, wherein the pupil position measurements are measurements of a position of a pupil in a visible part of an eye of the subject; process the head movement measurements relating to a time period to determine if the head moved in the time period; and, if the head moved in the time period, process the head movement measurements and the pupil position measurements for the time period to determine whether the subject experienced a seizure in the time period.
