  • Publication number: 20240169396
Abstract: A method includes providing a Fibonacci confidence interval level on user program viewership data to distinguish user interest level in different linear entertainment programs. The method also includes creating a behavior shift feature space for acquiring information about user behavior over time based on a behavior sequence, a first derivative on the behavior sequence, and a second derivative on the behavior sequence. The method further includes utilizing, based on a trained machine learning model, a transformer structure and attention to map user data from the behavior shift feature space into a prediction of the Fibonacci confidence interval level.

  • Publication number: 20240139629
Abstract: A method includes obtaining, based on a sequential graph-based model, gaming exposure information over time, where the gaming exposure information includes device-level preferences and household-level preferences. The method also includes combining one or more raw user behavior sessions into a gameplay session based on the obtained gaming exposure information. The method further includes providing a scoring metric to (i) check an extent of multi-matching in the obtained gaming exposure information and (ii) remove untrustworthy gaming exposures from the obtained gaming exposure information. In addition, the method includes generating, based on a feature engineering pipeline, one or more game segments running in a production environment, where the one or more game segments are identified for ancillary content based on inferences by a machine learning model trained using the gaming exposure information.

  • Publication number: 20240107568
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device, such as an access point (AP), may perform a channel selection procedure that accounts for one or more sub-channels of a particular channel being punctured. For example, an AP may generate multiple channel efficiency metrics for multiple channels. The multiple channel efficiency metrics may be based on measuring the multiple channels and one or more subchannel puncturing patterns for the one or more channels of the multiple channels. The AP may transmit a message on a channel of the multiple channels based on a channel efficiency metric, of the multiple channel efficiency metrics, for the channel. The AP may transmit a control message including a puncture bitmap that indicates a subchannel puncturing pattern for one or more subchannels of the channel. The message may be transmitted on the channel in accordance with the puncture bitmap.

  • Publication number: 20230354298
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for reducing beacon bloat, inefficient spectrum use, and coupling of multi-link transmission element (MLTE) with a traffic indication map (TIM) element. In certain aspects, an MLTE may be transmitted by an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) in a frame separate from the beacon frame to reduce the size of the beacon frame. In such an example, the beacon frame may provide an indication to a non-AP MLD that is should remain awake to receive data. In certain aspects, the AP may transmit multiple MLTEs to reduce the amount of bandwidth used for MLTE transmission by cutting out non-AP MLDs and other stations (STAs) that do not have buffered data. In certain aspects, the AP may assign each non-AP MLD capable of transmission identifier (TID)-to-link mapping (TID2LM) with a per-link traffic indication bitmap (PLTIB) to decouple the MLTE from the TIM element.

  • Publication number: 20140301232
Abstract: A method of measuring Channel State Information (CSI) in a multiple input/multiple output (MIMO) communication system including at least one base station (eNodeB) and at least one User Equipment (UE), the method including: receiving a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) carried in a sub-frame of a radio frame of the communication system at the at least one UE from the at least one eNodeB over at least one downlink. channel therebetween; extracting CSI-RS Resource Elements (RE) from the CSI-RS sub-frame; and using the extracted CSI-RS REs to perform downlink channel estimations for active pairs of receiving and transmitting antennas of the UE and the eNodeB respectively to derive the CSI.

  • Patent number: 8731083
Abstract: In the case of a narrow band in which the number of sub-carriers to be used for the concurrent transmission is smaller than a predetermined value, an RSRP estimation unit carries out processes in an order of time-wise in-phase addition, frequency-wise averaging, and conjugate multiplication, with respect to the channel estimation values estimated by the channel estimation unit; and in the case of a wide band in which the number of sub-carriers to be used for the concurrent transmission is greater than the predetermined value, the RSRP estimation unit carries out processes in an order of frequency-wise averaging, conjugate multiplication, and time-wise in-phase addition, with respect to the channel estimation values estimated by the channel estimation unit.

  • Patent number: 8379742
Abstract: A method of estimating channel conditions for use in a MIMO communication system includes the steps of, at a receiver: computing a SINR metric for all pre-coding matrices; computing a first capacity metric for the bandwidth from the SINR metrics, and selecting a rank which maximizes the first capacity metric; computing a second capacity metric for each frequency channel from the SINR metrics and the selected rank, and selecting one or more pre-coding matrices which maximize the second capacity metric; computing a third capacity metric from the second capacity metric, selected rank and selected pre-coding matrices for each transmission layer within each frequency channel, and selecting one or more frequency channels which maximize the third capacity metric; and transmitting the selected rank, selected pre-coding matrices and selected frequency channels to the transmitter for use in subsequent data transmissions.
