  • Publication number: 20120010562
Abstract: An infusion system that includes a controller device and a communication system to provide for two-way communication between the controller device and an infusion device that controls delivery of fluids to a user's body. Either the controller device or the infusion device may be integrated with a characteristic determining device in a single housing. The housing, in turn, may include a test-strip receptacle and an illuminator disposed so as to illuminate an area covering the receptacle and a test-strip inserted therein. The illuminator may be configured to be activated automatically when a test strip is inserted into the receptacle, selectively by the user via a button, key, or similar mechanism, and/or when the ambient light level, measured, e.g., with a light sensor, falls below a predetermined intensity. The illuminator may be a LED emitting white light, and may provide illumination at various levels of intensity.

  • Patent number: 7407820
Abstract: A method for monitoring oxide film deposition is disclosed. The method utilizes monitor wafers having silicon nitride films thereon instead of bare wafers to monitor the growth of silicon oxide films in a furnace. The method for monitoring oxide film deposition includes the following steps. First of all, a monitor wafer having silicon nitride film and a process wafer are provided. Next an oxide layer is formed on the monitor wafer and the process wafer, and the thickness of the oxide layer is controlled substantially equally on the monitor wafer and the process wafer. Then the thickness of the oxide layer on the monitor wafer and the process wafer is measured.

  • Publication number: 20050014873
Abstract: A phosphorus containing compound having the following structure is disclosed, which can be blended a resin or reacted with a compound to form a flame retardant resin: wherein R1-R4 independently are H or C1-C4 alkyl; X is a single bond, —CH2—, —C(CH3)2—, —O—, —S—, —SO2—; Y is H, C1-C4 alkyl, —OH, —NH2, —NO2, —COOH, —CHO, or m is integer of 0-2; and n is an integer of 1-4.

  • Patent number: 6076111
Abstract: A method for transferring data between processing systems and systems for transferring data. A method in one example creates a first representation of a first digital media which is stored on a first digital processing system. The first representation is compared to a plurality of representations of a corresponding plurality of digital media. Typically, but not necessarily, the plurality of representations are stored on a second digital processing system and the first representation is transmitted to the second digital processing system. The first digital media is transmitted to the second digital processing system if the first representation does not match any of the plurality of representations.

  • Patent number: 6058428
Abstract: A method and apparatus transfer digital images on a network. A signature list is first examined wherein the signature list includes a unique signature for each of the digital images requested for transfer. The signature list is used to determine whether each of the digital images is present or missing. For each of the digital images that is determined missing, the digital image is then received. Updated information is also received pertaining to the each of the digital images that is determined present. Data integrity is checked to ensure that the each of the digital images was successfully transferred. Finally, the steps of receiving the digital images and checking data integrity are repeated for the each of the digital images that was unsuccessfully transferred.

  • Patent number: 6035323
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for publishing a collection of digital media on a network. In one example of a method, a client digital processing system generates a collection of digital media and transmits collection information, which describes the collection of digital media, to a server digital processing system. From the collection information, a plurality of presentable media is automatically generated; each of these presentable media is capable of being presented to other client digital processing systems which are coupled to the network. In this one example, the network is operating according to a hypertext transfer protocol. In this one example, the client and server systems are programmed to interact together such that the presentable media is automatically generated.
