  • Patent number: 7339554
Abstract: A method for driving a cell of a plasma display panel in a duration of a frame, in which the frame contains a plurality of subfields. The method comprises setting a selected subfield in the frame of at least one cell of a scanning line to a selected state; setting each one of the subfields preceding the selected subfield to a state opposite the selected state; setting each one of the subfields succeeding the selected subfield in the frame to the same state as a corresponding subfield of a corresponding cell in an adjacent previous scanning line; and driving the one cell by turning the cell into either an ON or OFF condition from the selected subfield throughout the succeeding subfields in the frame based on the selected state of the selected subfield. Another method is to set each one of the subfields succeeding the selected subfield in the frame, based on states of corresponding subfields of corresponding cells in an adjacent previous scanning line and an adjacent next scanning line.

  • Publication number: 20070217707
Abstract: The present invention discloses a test method for image sharpness, which can instantly determine the sharpness of a captured image, wherein a captured image is firstly divided into multiple blocks with each block composed of multiple pixels; in each block of the captured image, the pixels having higher sharpnesses are selected, and the sharpnesses of those pixels are summed up to be the sharpness of the related block; the estimated sharpness of the captured image is also obtained similarly; and the estimated sharpness is compared with a threshold value to determine whether the captured image is sharp enough. Thereby, the present invention can test the sharpness of an image fast and correctly and inform the user of the status of the captured image and provide the user with corresponding suggestions.

  • Patent number: 6393734
Abstract: An adjustable and disposable foot care article includes a toe cover and an elongated insole bonded together to form a toe pocket at a front section. The insole is a bonded and pliable composite laminate consisting of an upper layer, an absorbent middle layer and a bottom layer made of air and fluid permeable non-woven fabrics or materials. The bottom layer has two side flaps extended outwards from the insole. The side flaps have spaced longitudinal perforation lines and a plurality of spaced and transverse perforation lines formed at selected locations for trimming excess portion of the side flaps and the heel section of the insole for the article to fit different sizes of foot. The article may be worn snugly on foot without flapping or flopping by fastening the rear end of the side flaps around the heel through an integrated or separated fastener. The article gives the foot and toes and part of the instep protective cover without contacting the musty or microbes-infected shoe interior.
