  • Patent number: 7607743
Abstract: A home-bar door stopping structure of a refrigerator includes an accommodating space provided behind a refrigerator door and communicating with the outside of the refrigerator through an opening formed on a portion of the refrigerator door, a home-bar door installed to the opening for selectively opening and closing the accommodating space and configured to be pivoted vertically about an lower end of the opening, and stoppers provided on both sides of the opening for supporting both sides of a lower end of a rear surface of the home-bar door to limit a pivot range of the home-bar door when the opening is opened. When the home-bar door stopping structure is so configured, although the thickness of the home-bar door is relatively increased due to the installation of an additional device onto the front surface of the home-bar door, the stopper does not hinders the pivotal rotation of the home-bar door until the home-bar is pivoted up to the predetermined angle.

  • Patent number: 7555910
Abstract: A refrigerator is provided in which a communication pad is installed in one of the doors to open and close storage spaces formed in a refrigerator main body. The communication pad is detachably installed in a seating space of the door. While an upper end of the communication pad is seated in the seating space by an upper clamp, a lower end of the communication pad is seated in the seating space by a lower clamp. The upper clamp and the lower clamp are installed in the seating space through hinge assemblies. The hinge assemblies are configured so that the upper and lower clamps rotate only by a force of a predetermined value or higher. With such structure, die communication pad may be securely mounted to and easily dismounted from the door.

  • Patent number: 7465327
Abstract: A refrigerator having an air-cleaner is provided. The air-cleaner may include a case having at least an inlet and an outlet, and a blower that draws air in through the inlet through a filter unit, and discharges the air through the outlet. The filter unit may include a filter for purifying the air flowing therethrough, a filter basket in which the filter is seated, and a door fixed to the filter basket so that the basket may be drawn in and out in a drawer-like fashion. The air-cleaner may also include fastening means for fastening the basket door to the filter basket, guiding means for guiding the mount and dismount of the filter basket, and locking means for keeping the filter basket positioned in the case.

  • Patent number: 7360278
Abstract: A home-bar door opening/closing device for a refrigerator. Guide slots 72 are provided in both side surfaces of an opening 59 provided in a refrigerator door 55 and connected to one ends of links 75 which rotate and vertically move. Then, a home-bar door 63 is installed in the opening 59 so that an upper end of the home-bar door 63 vertically rotates about a hinge 65. The other ends of the links 75 are pivotably connected to both side surfaces of the home-bar door 63, respectively. An upward elastic force from coil springs 77 is provided to the one ends of the links 75, while an elastic force from torsion springs 79 is provided to the other ends of the links 75. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the impact due to the rapid opening of the home-bar door.

  • Patent number: 7319407
Abstract: A display unit for a refrigerator is provided. The display having a TV receiving function is installed at a front surface of a refrigerator door. A mounting panel with a plurality of speaker holes formed therein is also installed around an edge of the display. A speaker is mounted to a rear surface of the mounting panel on a portion where the speaker holes are formed. Further, a resonance box is installed to enclose the speaker such that low and middle frequency sound can be transmitted forward to the outside. A sound transmission tube that communicates with the speaker hole is forced at a front portion of the resonance box. In addition, a sound absorbing material is covered on an inner rear surface of the resonance box that faces the rear of the speaker. A display as configured has improved sound quality.

  • Patent number: 7260954
Abstract: A drainage structure for a refrigerator equipped with an integrated product is provided. A mounting space is provided on a front surface of a door of the refrigerator to receive an integrated product such as a TV. A plurality of recesses are formed in an inner surface of the mounting space. The recesses prevent water drops from flowing downward along the inner surface. A plurality of valleys may also be formed on the inner surface on which the recesses are formed. The valleys may have an irregular shape, and serve to reduce the size of water drops. Thus, moisture formed in a space into which the integrated product is mounted can be evaporated and discharged to the outside due to heat generated by the integrated product when it is operated.

  • Publication number: 20050138949
Abstract: The present invention relates to a drainage structure for a refrigerator equipped with an integrated product. In the present invention, a mounting space 31 is provided on a portion on a front surface of a refrigerator door 23 to mount a TV 40 into the mounting space. Further, a plurality of recesses 32 are depressed into a part of an inner surface 31i of the mounting space 31. The recesses 32 serve to prevent water drops from flowing downward along the inner surface 31i. A plurality of valleys 33 are further formed on the inner surface 31i on which the recesses 32 are formed. The valleys 33 are formed to have an irregular shape, and serve to reduce the size of water drops. According to the present invention so configured, moisture formed in a space into which the integrated product is mounted can be evaporated and discharged to the outside due to heat generated from the integrated product when it is operated.
