    Abstract: In a collapsible supporting device for a portable computer, a pair of base members and a pair of interconnecting members are connected pivotally to a coupling seat. A pair of supporting members are coupled to the interconnecting members, respectively. The supporting device is operable to move from a folded position, where the base members and the interconnecting members are disposed parallel to each other, to a supporting position, where the interconnecting members are disposed between the base members, where a stopping block on each base member abuts against a front portion of the computer, where a desired angle is formed between the interconnecting members, and where each supporting member is disposed uprightly and has an abutting end disposed higher than that of each base member and abutting against a rear portion of the computer.

    Abstract: A side wing support adaptor. The adaptor has an extension wing having an engagement end and an attachment end provided at opposite sides thereof, so as to provide additional space to be hung at a lateral side of the tripod. The attachment end of the extension wing is provided with a fastener for attaching to a four-way locking mechanism that may be mated with add-ons or attachments. The engagement end of the extension wing is provided with an engagement member accommodating an accessory of the tripod. In an embodiment, the engagement member includes the same number of holes as that on a base plate mounted on the tripod platform. In an alternative embodiment, the engagement member includes a substantially circular piece formed with a central opening, and having a first face and a second face opposite the first face each formed with a plurality of meshable teeth.

    Abstract: A device for securing a video camera onto the base plate of a tripod includes a seat fastened on the base plate of a tripod, a fastening means releasably connected to the seat, a latch release releasably connected to the seat, and a strap with one end fixed to the fasting mews and the other end passing through the latch release and back to insert into tic tightening means. The tightening means includes a ratchet centrally fitted with an axle having an axial slot. The end of the strap inserted in the tightening means is precisely inserted into the axial slot of the axle. The tightening means is provided with an arm so that driving the arm in one direction would tighten the strap and accordingly secure the video camera onto the base plate of the tripod.
