    Abstract: A hybrid integrated structure of an optical active device and a Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) device using an optical fiber array is provided, in which one or more photodiodes are integrated on an upper cladding layer above one or more planar optical waveguides. A section located on a boundary surface between output optical waveguides, that is, an end of the PLC device in the direction of propagation of light, and the input end of an output optical fiber array is ground to be inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to an optical axis. Further, one or more optical fibers and one or more reflection mirrors are alternately arranged, inserted, and disposed in a plurality of V-shaped trenches formed in the output optical fiber array.

The apparatus for comparing protein structures using principal components analysis (PCA) and autocorrelation includes: a PCA calculator for receiving a query protein for extracting a main axis of the query protein; a voxel generator for receiving information about the main axis from the PCA calculator and dividing a predetermined region using a grid to determine whether the divided region is occupied by the query protein for generating voxels of the query protein; and a comparison processor for performing an autocorrelation calculation between voxels of one protein and voxels of the other protein that are generated by the voxel generator.

    Abstract: A micro coaxial cable includes an inner conductor; an insulation layer having foaming cells and formed to surround the inner conductor; an over-foaming preventing layer formed to surround the insulation layer for the purpose of uniform forming of the foaming cells; a metal shield layer formed to surround the over-foaming preventing layer; and a protective coating layer formed to surround the metal shield layer. The over-foaming preventing layer restrains abnormal growth of foaming cells formed in the insulation layer such that the foaming cells are successively adjacently formed with uniform size. Due to the uniformity of foaming, the dielectric constant of the insulation layer is not locally different but uniform as a whole, thereby capable of improving transmission characteristics. In addition, the micro coaxial cable enables to transmit signals even at a high frequency transmission of GHz range, which was impossible in the prior art.
