  • Publication number: 20140008902
Abstract: A frontal airbag has a first section, a second section, and a third section, the second section being in fluid communication with both the first and the third section. The first, second and third sections form a triangular structure upon inflation of the airbag. A gas generator is attached to the first section and in fluid communication with the first section. An end portion on the third section remote from the second sections attached to the first section in an area between the gas generator and the second section. Two side tethers attached to the first section and to one of the second and third sections or near transitional bend between the second and third section provide resistance against flattening of the airbag after inflation. The first section and the third section are directly attached to each other by a seam, by an adhesive, or by lamination.

  • Publication number: 20130341975
Abstract: An airbag arrangement for protecting at least one seat occupant in an aircraft of the type having a tandem seat arrangement with a rear seat for a seat occupant and a front seat in front of the rear seat. The front seat has an airbag subassembly mounted in the seat back. The airbag subassembly has an airbag inflating between the seat back and the rear seat and uses a gas generator connected to the airbag and configured to inflate the airbag. The airbag is secured to the seat back under a cover with a tear seam and has a compacted state in which the airbag is rolled up or folded about a horizontal axis inside the seat back.

  • Publication number: 20050001405
Abstract: A pivoting wheelchair backpack holder is provided. The pivoting wheelchair backpack includes a lever rod and a swing-out handle to move the lever rod, a frame moved by the lever rod, and a backpack attached to the frame. In its closed position, the backpack rests behind the user sitting in the wheelchair with the handle positioned flush to the side of the wheelchair. The user grabs the handle from its resting position, locks the handle into place against the lever rod, and pulls the handle to move the lever rod. The lever rod opens the frame, which then moves from the back of the wheelchair to the side of the wheelchair. A second hinged joint between the lever rod and frame allows the user to pull the backpack down toward the user. The user can access the backpack now at his or her side. The user can close the frame by pushing the frame back up, moving the handle in the opposite direction and replacing the handle to its resting position.
