  • Publication number: 20250216309
Abstract: A system monitors properties of an aerosolized-ink stream that includes detectors and light sources configured to emit light of different wavelengths. The system includes a cell that includes flow axis that allows the aerosolized-ink stream to pass through the inner cavity formed in continuity with optical channels extending radially from the inner cavity along polar angles. The cell has an input positioned on a forward-scattering axis that coincides with an axis of one of the input light channels, with some forming azimuthal angles relative to a forward-scattering axis. A data acquisition module acquire scattering and/or absorption signals that are processed to identify relationships and/or against a model of multiple plurality of properties of the aerosolized-ink stream by a controller. The controller initiates corrective measures in response to the detected relationships and/or processed properties.

  • Publication number: 20250217929
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to the field of image processing, and, more particularly, to a method and system for Multimodal Image Super-Resolution (MISR) using convolutional dictionary learning. Existing sparse representation learning based techniques for MISR have certain limitations which impact quality of the reconstructed image. The present disclosure performs MISR using convolutional dictionaries which are translation invariant. Low-resolution image of the target modality and high-resolution image of the guidance modality are modelled using their respective convolutional dictionaries and associated coefficients. Additionally, two coupling convolutional dictionaries are learned to model the relationship between them and synthesize the high-resolution image of the target modality more efficiently.

  • Publication number: 20250217166
Abstract: User engagement is detected and used to control operation of a computing device. User engagement is detected by a sensor such as a camera that identifies if a user's face is oriented towards a display device. If the user is not facing the display device, the sensor determines that the user is unengaged. The computing device is thus able to perform a power-saving operation, such as dimming the display device, when the user is unengaged. The computing device includes an API that abstracts sensor data into a user engagement signal indicating that the user is either engaged or unengaged. The OS and applications running on the computing device act on the user engagement signal provided by the API without communicating directly with the sensor. The user engagement signal may be provided as an input to a state machine.

  • Patent number: 12348569
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing policies for data processing systems are disclosed. A management controller for the data processing system may utilize an out of band communication channel to obtain a policy for the data processing system from a trusted management system if the data processing system is reported as lost or stolen by an owner of the data processing system. The management controller may identify a state of the data processing system as powered or unpowered. The management controller may then identify one or more actions specified by the policy and based on the state of the data processing system to be performed. By doing so, the management controller may discourage unintended use of the data processing system by a user other than the owner of the data processing system.

  • Patent number: 12349039
Abstract: In one embodiment, a mobile node having a first radio and a second radio applies stateless offline dictionary compression to an uncompressed stream of packets, to form a compressed stream of packets. The first radio of the mobile node communicates with a first access point of a wireless network and the second radio of the mobile node communicates with a second access point of the wireless network. The mobile node selects the first radio to send the uncompressed stream of packets and the second radio to send the compressed stream of packets. The mobile node sends, via the first radio, the uncompressed stream of packets to the first access point over a first wireless path. The mobile node sends, via the second radio, the compressed stream of packets to the second access point over a second wireless path.
