  • Publication number: 20120066393
Abstract: A system and method for real time delivery of context based content from the cloud (internet) to mobile devices. The information in the cloud is available in the form of software-as-a-service is accessible from laptops and personal computers. The system obtains information from multiple sources in the “cloud,” correlates the information, determines a subset of information based on context, and pushes the information to at least one mobile device. An engine extracts a context based subset of information and correlates the context based subset of information based on the same context or a different context. A data push engine makes the information available in real time to a user by pushing the information to the at least one mobile device like a smartphone, tablet, and/or navigation system.

  • Publication number: 20110044343
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transceiving multiple service data from multiple communication services to a SONET/SDH communication system or network is provided. A SONET/SDH universal framer (SURF) bidirectionally provides communication between a SONET/SDH communication port and multiple service communication ports using their native data format. A provisioning register stores provisioning information describing the communication system and the communication ports. A SONET/SDH byte engine processes complex hierarchical SONET/SDH frames storing intermediate states when it changes to process a byte of data of a different STS-1 equivalent frame in a SONET/SDH STS-N frame. A service byte engine processes the multitude of service data formats and generally its intermediate states are restored, processed, and saved when it changes to process a different data stream or a different frame of data of a given service.

  • Patent number: 7790112
Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of a biosensor to determine potassium in human blood serum using dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) as ionophore. Human blood serum contains potassium in ppm levels i.e 137 to 200 mg/litre and sodium co exists with a 30 times higher concentration. Such a high concentration tends to interfere the selectivity towards potassium, but DB18C6 proves to have an excellent selectivity towards potassium and is highly sensitive to the lowest concentration of potassium levels present in the human blood serum. So the present invention reports the fabrication and characterization of ISFET (Ion Selective Field Effect transistor) coated with a monolayer of crown ether, dissolved in chloroform, on the gate of electrode.

  • Publication number: 20090202586
Abstract: A scan of F. tularensis genome for homology to a regulatory protein that controls virulence identified gene FTL0552. A knock out mutation in FTL0552 was created using reverse transcriptase PCR and the construct inserted into F. tularensis. This mutant was defective for survival in macrophages and found avirulent in in vivo testing, where the mutant exhibited reduced levels of pro-inflammatory cytokine production, reduced evidence of histopathology in affected tissues, reduced systemic infection, and rapid clearance of the bacterium. In vivo challenge studies with the FTL0552 mutant using the virulent F. tularensis subsp. tularensis SchuS4 strain show an immune response is induced, and protection afforded, after preexposure to the FTL0552 mutant. Microarray studies revealed 148 genes regulated by FTL0552, including genes located within the FPI that are essential for intracellular survival.

  • Patent number: 6495362
Abstract: A simple sand-live soil assay method for large scale screening of the rhizosphere-competent bacteria, effective in suppressing plant pathogens has been developed. Screening for chickpea rhizosphere competitive bacteria having biological control property was conducted at three different stages: development of screening method for large scale initial selection of bacteria isolates from chickpea rhizosphere, testing of biocontrol activity under in vitro conditions and screening of antibiotic resistant mutants for rhizosphere competence in nonsterile field soil, which assay is used to disclose one Pseudomonas fluorescens NBRI 1303 (ATCC 55939) which is effective in suppressing plant pathogens, including Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceri, Rhizoctonia bataticola and Phthium sp.
