In some embodiments, an isolated nucleic acid may comprise an expression control sequence having the sequence of nucleotides 1-4726 of SEQ ID NO: 1, wherein the expression control sequence has stem-regulated and/or defense-inducible promoter activity in at least one monocot (e.g., at least two monocots).

Abstract: A system for generating web analytic reports is provided. The system includes a processor configured to receive an input web page link, execute a unified tag for the input web page link, and generate unified tagged data based on the executed unified tag. The system also includes a server side translation unit configured to translate the unified tagged data to corresponding client tagged data for each of a plurality of clients. Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for recording data associated with the operation of Foundation Fieldbus devices. Device parameter data associated with one or more Foundation Fieldbus devices may be received by a device comprising one or more computers. A visual representation of the operation of the one or more Foundation Fieldbus devices may be generated by the device receiving the device parameter data. The device may then record at least a portion of the device parameter data received to generate the visual representation.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for displaying data associated with the operation of Foundation Fieldbus devices. A client device may include at least one computer that executes a client application. The client device may establish a communication channel with a host device configured to collect device parameter data associated with one or more Foundation Fieldbus devices. At least a portion of the device parameter data may be received by the client device from the host device via the established communication channel. A visual representation of the received device parameter data may then be generated by the client application.

Abstract: A method of dynamic model selection for hybrid linear/non-linear process control includes developing a plurality of process models including at least one linear process model and at least one non-linear process model from inputs including dynamic process data from a processing system that runs a physical process. At least two of the plurality of process models are selected based on a performance comparison based on at least one metric, wherein the selected process models number less than a number of the plurality of process models received. A multi-model controller is generated that includes the selected process models. The physical process is simulated using the multi-model controller by applying the selected process models to obtain closed loop performance test data for each of the selected models. The performance test data is compared. A selected process model is then selected.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for configuring access control devices. In overview, some embodiments provide for a method whereby a smartcard is used to configure a disconnected access control device. A user presents this smartcard to a connected access control device which, in response to the presentation of this card, allows the user to download to the smartcard one or more aspects of configuration data for a specified disconnected access control device. The user subsequently presents the smartcard to the relevant disconnected access control device, which uploads and selectively applies the one or more aspects of configuration data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for porting software. In one embodiment, a container generator is provided. The container generator is configured to translate a field device description file into a plug-in file having executable instructions and a parameter configuration file having configuration information. The plug-in file and the parameter configuration file are further configured for use by a destination application to communicate with a device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an approach by which low-performing turbines may be identified from among a plurality of wind turbines, such as may be present at a wind power plant. In accordance with one embodiment, low-performing turbines are identified from among pairs of turbines and based upon a comparison of the observed and expected performance of the turbines within each pair.

Yet another graphical display could be used to remotely invoke and control applications executing in a process control system.

Abstract: The invention is directed to isolated promoters from stem-regulated, defense-inducible genes, such as OMT promoters. The promoters are useful in expression cassettes and expression vectors for the transformation of plants. Particularly, the invention provides transgenic plants of rice and sugarcane that have been modified such that expression of a heterologous coding sequence is directed by an OMT promoter and is limited to stem tissues or may be upregulated by the presence of a defense-inducing agent. The invention also discloses methods for producing the expression vectors and transgenic plants.

In overview, a carrier substrate such as a smartcard is used to commission a plurality of access control devices. Measures are implemented such that the individual access control devices are uniquely commissioned. That is, no two devices apply identical commissioning data, hi some embodiments this is achieved by, as part of the commissioning process at a given access control device, modifying one or more aspects of the data carried by the carrier substrate.
