Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for capturing data representative of user interactions with a desktop computer, and processing the capture data to identify and analyze business processes performed by the user. The disclosed system comprises listeners that capture key actuations, mouse-clicks, screen information, and other data representative of user interaction with a desktop computer. A desktop observer is provided to accept capture data from listeners, to temporarily store the capture data if necessary, and to pass the capture data to a process intelligence server. The process intelligence server includes a process discovery module the analyzes the capture data and identifies business processes corresponding to the capture data, or models business processes. A process data master storage is provided.

Abstract: A method and system for generating knowledge objects from captured process data and identification of user interface information includes knowledge object logic, knowledge object content, knowledge object presentation and knowledge object deployment. After capture of process data, analysis of the process is performed. The context of the process is defined, the best practices are identified, and process documentation and training on the process is performed through an interface. Once these elements are prepared as templates, they are deployed to a user to permit even an untrained user to perform the process as if the user were an expert.

Abstract: A system and method for remote capture, identification, cataloging, and modeling of processes remotely captures the processes performed by a user on a machine, for example, a computer. Capture may include capturing input to the computer and manual tasks via video and/or audio capture. The tasks are identified, cataloged and stored. Modeling is possible by streaming the captured data back to a computer. The captured data may be edited and the edited versions compared or benchmarked by performing simulations of each.
