  • Publication number: 20140003090
Abstract: Aspects relate to a liquid crystal display and a backlight module thereof, wherein said backlight module comprises an aluminum extrusion as well as an LED circuit board arranged on said aluminum extrusion and a light guide plate. The aluminum extrusion is provided with a locating part, which may lie between said LED and said light guide plate and be further butted with a light incidence plane of said light guide plate. By installing a locating part which lies between said LED and said light guide plate on the aluminum extrusion, the backlight module may enable the aluminum extrusion to be provided with the functions of locating the light guide plate and the LED. Certain aspects relate to reducing the locating factor for influencing the light-coupling distance between the LED and the light guide plate so that it guarantees the light coupling efficiency.

  • Patent number: 8617546
Abstract: Provided is an anticancer agent which comprises an anti-PD-1 antibody or an anti-PD-L1 antibody as an active ingredient, functioning to reverse the unresponsiveness of iNKT cells in which anergy has been induced by administration with an iNKT cell ligand. The anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 antibody blocks the PD-1/PD-L1-mediated signaling pathway not only to prevent the iNKT cell ligand-induced iNKT cell anergy, but also to reverse the unresponsiveness of already anergic iNKT cells to produce cytokines. In addition, the anti-PD1 or anti-PD-L1 antibody ensures the potent anti-tumor activity of iNKT cells as demonstrated by a significant reduction in the number of metastatic nodules in B16F10 melanoma metastasis models in vivo. Collectively, the anticancer agent can be very useful in the treatment of cancer, particularly metastatic cancer.

  • Patent number: 8621072
Abstract: Remote event receivers can register with a document repository computing system to receive notifications of events occurring at a document repository. The remote event receivers may register to receive notifications synchronously, whereby the remote event receivers can provide a response to the notification prior to the occurrence of the event, or asynchronously, whereby the remote event receivers provide no response. Synchronous remote event receivers can also specify in a response to the notification that the event should be canceled or may specify properties that should be changed. Remote event receivers can be pre-event receivers that receive notifications prior to the occurrence of an event, or post-event receivers that receive notifications following the event. When an event is to occur at the document repository, notifications are provided to the pre-event remote event receivers. Once the event has occurred, notifications are provided to the post-event remote event receivers.
