Abstract: Disclosed is a temperature measurement system including: a light source unit for receiving excitation light; a target material on which the temperature-sensitive film is attached in order to emit the received excitation light into emission light; a phosphorescence detector for extracting the emission light into a phosphorescence decay signal; and a temperature extraction unit for extracting temperature of the target material using the phosphorescence decay signal.

Abstract: A directly-connected high-voltage battery energy storage system (BESS) and a control method thereof are provided. The directly-connected high-voltage BESS includes a battery module, a direct current (DC)/DC converter, a DC bus capacitor, a DC/alternating current (AC) converter, and a grid-side filter inductor. A plurality of battery modules is connected in series to form a battery cluster. The battery cluster is connected in series to the DC/DC converter to form a battery branch, and a plurality of battery branches is connected in parallel to form a battery stack. The battery stack is connected in parallel to the DC bus capacitor and then connected to a DC port of the DC/AC converter to form a battery energy storage submodule. AC ports of a plurality of battery energy storage submodules are connected in series to form a chain-type phase converter.

Abstract: Various systems are provided for medical imaging systems. In one example, an assembly for a C-arm comprises: a casing including a first extension housing a first component, a second extension housing a second component, and a clearance formed between the first extension and the second extension; and a collimator seated within the clearance, with an outlet end of the collimator substantially aligned with a terminating end of the first extension and a terminating end of the second extension. An x-ray tube insert may be aligned with the collimator and configured to emit x-ray radiation between the first component and the second component.

Abstract: A separatory funnel for the work up of chemical reactions, extraction or separation of liquid phases. The separatory funnel has multi-functional features, which can be used as regular separatory funnels, Erlenmeyer flasks, and filter funnels. A method is also provided of separating a mixture of at least two immiscible liquids with solids or precipitates so that the clear liquids can be separated.
