  • Patent number: 8432671
Abstract: An external extension for holding a portable computer includes a base, a keyboard module disposed on a first area of the base, a pin set disposed on a third area of the base and electrically connected to the keyboard module, and a protecting cover disposed on the first area in a pivotable manner and adjacent to a second area of the base. The protecting cover covers the keyboard module when the protecting cover pivots relative to the base at a first position. The protecting cover is for holding the portable computer when the protecting cover pivots relative to the base at a second position and a side of the protecting cover contacts against a lateral side of the second area, so that a visual angle can be formed between the portable computer and the keyboard module.

  • Patent number: 8373615
Abstract: A system for splitting a display zone of a screen is installed in an electronic device having a screen, and includes a detecting module for detecting screen pixels. A splitting processor receives a splitting instruction containing a splitting number n, and splits the display zone into a main display region and a number (n?1) of extension display regions. A total number of width pixels of adjacent ones of the main and extension display regions from left to right of the display zone equals the number of width pixels of the screen. A total number of height pixels of adjacent ones of the main and extension display regions from top to bottom of the display zone equals the number of height pixels of the screen. A display module displays two or more operating interfaces, files, and/or pages of at least one application in the main and extension display regions, respectively.

  • Patent number: 8154526
Abstract: A touch screen display device is provided. The touch screen display device includes a touch screen, a sensor, a control element and a sensitivity-setting element. The sensor is configured to detect if the touch screen display device is being inserted in a connection chamber. The control element is electrically connected with the sensor and is configured to generate a control signal according to an insertion status of the touch screen display device. The sensitivity-setting element is configured to set the touch screen to a first sensitivity or a second sensitivity according to the control signal. The touch screen with the first sensitivity is more sensitive than with the second sensitivity. A method for setting sensitivity of a touch screen is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20110062304
Abstract: A display positioning mechanism includes two hinge modules connected to two ends of a supporting component. Each hinge module includes a preload control washer whereon a constraining structure is formed. Each hinge module further includes a loading component. A fixing end of the loading component is fixed on an end of the supporting component. When an angle of a display and a supporting plane is within a first range, the loading component is preloaded and a free end of the loading component contacts against an end of the constraining structure so as to provide a torque in a first direction to the supporting component. When the angle of the display and the supporting plane is within a second range, the free end of the loading component does not contact against the end of the constraining structure so that the loading component can not provide the torque to the supporting component.

  • Publication number: 20100228367
Abstract: A data card for a computer system capable of providing a loudspeaker mode for a mobile phone call is disclosed. The data card includes an antenna, an RF module, a first signal processing unit for processing a baseband signal for generating a first analog audio output signal corresponding to audio data played by a speaker when the computer system operates in the loudspeaker mode, a second signal processing unit, a transmission interface for outputting a first digital audio output signal corresponding to the audio data to the computer system, wherein the first digital audio output signal is generated according to the first analog audio output signal through an encoding process, a microphone device, and an audio codec for performing the encoding process on the first analog audio output signal in order to generate the first digital audio output signal.
