    Abstract: A light string is comprised of a housing assembly, a light emitting source, a first conductive lead wire and a second conductive lead wire. The housing assembly is comprised of a light cap extending from a housing. A spacer plug secures a first and second conductive lead wire, and an light emitting source to the housing assembly. A first conductive lead wire and a second conductive lead wire each extend into the housing and are secured within the housing via the spacer plug. An insulative projection of the spacer plug is seated between the first conductive lead wire and the second conductive lead wire within the housing so as to prevent a direct electrical short between the first conductive lead wire and the second conductive lead wire. Glue is used to fill the housing to create a waterproof electrical connection.

    Abstract: An optical cover is provided for combining with each lighting unit of a light string and includes a cover body and a mounting member. The cover body is provided on an external surface thereof with a sleeve, in which a through hole is formed for receiving and holding the lighting unit therein. The sleeve is provided with, on opposite sides thereof, with notches that receive extension of an electrical cable of the light string therethrough. The mounting member is mountable to the sleeve of the cover body to fix the lighting unit in the through hole and also fix the electrical cable in the notches. In this way, a user is allowed to select and arrange optical covers of different colors for respectively mounting to multiple lighting units of the light string.

The four components include an upper housing member, a lower housing member, electrical wires, and an LED-based light emission element (with or without a cover). Two conductive pins of the LED-based light emission element are fixed to conductors of the electrical wires through welding and are then disposed between the upper and lower members of the housing, which are subjected to ultrasonic fusion for secured combination thereby covering and housing the electrical wires and the LED-based light emission element therein in one operation. The method is simple and very efficient so that the process is simplified and the cost reduced.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a decoration light cable with improved tensile strength, which includes a conductive line, which includes multiple metal filaments twisted together; an insulation layer, which surrounds, encloses, and houses the conductive line in such a way that the conductive line is located at a center of the insulation layer; and one or more reinforcement lines, which are embedded in the insulation layer in such a way that the reinforcement lines are spaced and separated from the conductive line. The decoration light cable is applicable to connections among decoration lights to improve structural strength. In addition, when the insulation layer is cut and trimmed to expose the conductive line, the reinforcement lines are cut off simultaneously so that no reinforcement lines are left at the cut site to cause undesired interference with a subsequent soldering operation applied to the conductive line. This improves the convenience and quality of soldering.

    Abstract: A rectifier module is provided for simultaneous use with a plurality of light-emitting diode (LED) lamp strings. The rectifier module includes an extension cable having first and second ends to which first and second connectors are mounted and a casing mounted to the extension cable and including therein an electronic circuit. The electronic circuit includes a rectifier element, which can be a diode based circuit or a bridge rectifier, to which a resistor and a capacitor are electrically connected. The resistor can be a variable resistor to allow for manual adjustment.
