  • Patent number: 5617751
Abstract: A key fob includes at least one dome with a display surface and a flange secured in a fob. The fob is sewn in a pattern around or through the flange or openings therethrough. The fob may also be formed by placing display domes within an outer rim and sealing the combination within a u-shaped ring. Designs and slogans may be placed on the display surfaces. The fob may then be attached to a key ring using a clip configured to accommodate crimping. The clip attachment allows the fob to rotate freely around the key ring.

  • Patent number: 5528916
Abstract: A device for securing objects on a ring includes a ring having a gap. A closing mechanism includes a guide tube for receiving the ring. In the unlocked position, the closing mechanism slides along a circumference of the ring exposing the gap. Objects may then be placed on the ring. In the locked position, the gap is contained within the guide tube and biasing device locks the closing mechanism in place.

  • Patent number: 5365760
Abstract: A key and clip combination useful for securing a spare key in a wallet or purse and for key identification. The clip is low profile and prevents the wallet or purse from becoming bulky. The clip may also include apertures for exposing the hole within the key used for placing the key on a key chain or key peg.

  • Patent number: 5181927
Abstract: An indicia-holding device can be attached to a key for permitting the indicia to be associated with the key. The device for holding the indicia includes a frame having a rim which engages with the edge of a plate which covers or bears the indicia. In order to firmly attach the plate to the frame, the frame is stressed in such a manner that the rim of the frame is moved inward, effectively reducing the circumference of the frame. Stress can be induced by way of a screw, for example, by using a screw which is also used to clamp the indicia-holding device to the key. A second hole assists in removing the plate from the frame, for example, for replacement of the indicia. The indicium-bearing device can also include other key accessories such as a light.

  • Patent number: 5031420
Abstract: A device for removably attaching a pendant to a decorative chain is disclosed. The device comprises two arcuate latching elements. The first latching element receives the chain and has an arm swivably attached to one end, which engages the other end when it is swiveled to a closed position, thereby creating a closed, locked loop around the chain. The second latching element receives a connecting loop on the pendant to be attached to the chain. The second element has a locking bar swivably attached adjacent to an eyelet on one end. The eyelet is adapted for receiving the first latching element. The locking bar has a longitudinal opening through which the eyelet protrudes when the locking bar is swiveled to a closed position, the locking bar thereby creating a closed, locked loop around the connectinhg loop on the pendant. When the two elements are interlocked in this manner, they are oriented at right angles to each other.

  • Patent number: 4787016
Abstract: An improved light attachable to a key is provided with a housing and back plate having substantially similar widths between which is secured the head portion of a key. The housing encases a frame formed with recesses to accept a battery, light bulb, contacts and a switch. The frame fits into the back side of the housing such that a flat back side is formed which allows the head of a key which abuts the back side of the housing to overhang the width of the housing. The back plate attaches to the housing by means of a rectangular tab on one edge of the back plate which engages a correspondingly shaped groove in the housing, and by means of a screw from the face of the housing through a hole in the head of the key to the face of the back plate. The back plate is formed so as to have three open sides to similarly allow the head of the key to overhang its width.

  • Patent number: 4277866
Abstract: A small, strong jewelry clasp which requires fewer manufacturing steps to produce is disclosed. A generally flat, rectangular, elongate pin body is formed having a finger element extending from one end thereof. The other end of the pin body typically has a hole formed therethrough to capture a link of a chain. The upper surface of the pin body has a notch formed therein for receipt of a compression spring. This notch is bounded on one end by a spring stop portion of the pin body. The other end of the notch is open. A box-like enclosure member is formed by folding a flat piece of malleable material to fit around both the pin body and the notch formed in the pin body. A portion of the enclosure which is near the open end of the notch is folded inwardly so that when the enclosure is slid over the pin body, a spring is captured between the spring stop portion of the pin body and inwardly folded portion of the enclosure.
