  • Publication number: 20200253561
Abstract: A bio-signal analysis method uses a bio-signal analysis apparatus for analyzing a bio-signal based on output light emitted from an object after being output from a light source, and includes a step of providing a classification unit machine-trained based on training data in which measurement values for each wavelength of the output light and concentration for each of a plurality of chromophore materials match each other; a step of inputting the measurement values of the output light emitted from the object measured by the bio-signal analysis apparatus into the classification unit; and a step of outputting chromophore concentration output from the classification unit with respect to the input. At this time, the light source includes a plurality of light emitting elements for emitting output light having different wavelengths.

  • Patent number: 9256366
Abstract: Embodiments relate to systems and methods for touch-based two-stage text input. An electronic device (102), such as a wearable wireless device, can be configured with a two-stage input interface (116) on a display (104). A first stage can include a seek area (120), which displays a subset of letters or other symbols to represent the full range of symbolic elements that are available, in a compressed form. The user can identify an intended target range (128) by touching an area at or around the letter or other symbol of interest. That input triggers the display of a second stage of the interface in a separate selection area (122), in which all letters or other symbols in the target range are expanded and displayed. The user can then touch and lift off the letter or other symbol they wish to choose, for example, to insert in a message or application.

  • Patent number: 8139561
Abstract: A method for a wireless Internet communication in a mobile communication terminal is provided. In an operation of starting a wireless Internet function, it is determined if a data call is being serviced and, if a data call is not serviced, the wireless Internet function is started by setting the wireless Internet function as a data call. In an operation of originating or terminating a voice call, it is determined if a wireless Internet function is being performed and, if the wireless Internet function is being performed, the wireless Internet function and a voice call service are substantially simultaneously started. Accordingly, in the wireless Internet communication method of the mobile communication terminal, a W-LAN function is set in the same manner as that in which a CDMA data call is set through modification of the SVD scheme, so that a W-LAN data protocol such as the DHCP (which can be used when the W-LAN function is set) and a voice call service can be provided at the same time.

  • Patent number: 8116725
Abstract: A Global Positioning System (GPS)-enabled mobile terminal and current position location method thereof acquires current position information of the mobile terminal while reducing power consumption of conventional mobile terminals with GPS capability. A method for locating position of a mobile terminal having a GPS reception unit includes storing a current position information of the mobile terminal which is acquired from GPS data received by the GPS reception unit; switching off the GPS reception unit after acquiring the GPS data; storing a base station information received from a first base station to which the mobile terminal is connected with starting a first timer. In the case where handover to a second base station is detected, a second timer is started. In the case where an expiration of the second timer is detected, switching on/activating the GPS reception unit to update the current position information; and initializing the first timer simultaneously with the expiration of the second timer.
