Abstract: A mosquito repellent system and a method for operating the same are provided. The mosquito repellent system includes a passenger detection device that detects a passenger in a vehicle, a mosquito recognition device that recognizes a mosquito, a first ultrasonic device and a second ultrasonic device that generate and radiate an ultrasonic wave, and a control device configured to obtain information about the passenger using the passenger detection device, determine whether there is a mosquito in the vehicle using the mosquito recognition device, and control at least one of the first ultrasonic device or the second ultrasonic device, or a combination thereof to radiate the ultrasonic wave based on the information about the passenger in response determining that there is the mosquito in the vehicle.

The electronic device obtains information of at least one of a sitting posture of a user or driving information of a vehicle, or any combination thereof using sensors, determines whether motion sickness is caused in the user based on the information, and provides a motion sickness reduction solution based on determining that the motion sickness is caused in the user.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for channel bonding-based multi-antenna signal transmission in a broadcasting system. An apparatus for channel bonding-based multi-antenna signal transmission includes an input formatting unit for converting input data into a Physical Layer Pipe (PLP), a stream partitioning unit for partitioning the PLP into pieces of data to be transmitted to two or more channels, respectively, and two or more transmission units for transmitting the pieces of data resulting from partitioning to corresponding channels through multiple antennas.

When being switched from the first mode to the second mode, the third portion is disposed parallel to the first portion, and the magnet part moves in the first direction to overlap the third portion.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions such as fibrids that comprise at least a water-insoluble alpha-glucan and an additive. At least about 50% of the glycosidic linkages of the alpha-glucan can be alpha-1,3 glycosidic linkages. The additive typically is not chemically linked to the alpha-glucan. Methods are further disclosed for preparing and handling these compositions.

Abstract: A method for restoring data and a non-volatile memory performing the restore operation are disclosed. If a restore command is applied, an internal read command is generated to sequentially designate the addresses. A read operation is performed on the designated address, and the number of error bits in a code word is compared with a reference number of error bits. Depending on the result of the comparison, an update or restore operation on a corrected code word for the designated address is selectively performed.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for generating a consensus are disclosed. According to an embodiment of a present disclosure, a method for generating a consensus includes calculating hash values using a header value of a block and a node list. The method also includes generating a candidate consensus by comparing the hash values with a threshold value. The method also includes generating a sorted candidate consensus by sorting node information in the candidate consensus. The method also includes generating a final consensus by selecting node information in the sorted candidate consensus as many as a consensus quorum based on a number of voting rights of each node. The node information is information on a node ID and a hash value pair.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are solutions comprising at least a caustic solvent, alpha-glucan or a derivative thereof, and an additive. An additive can include a crosslinking agent, and/or optionally an additive that does not chemically react with the alpha-glucan or derivative thereof. At least about 50% of the glycosidic linkages of the alpha-glucan can be alpha-1,3 glycosidic linkages. Methods are further disclosed for preparing these solutions and using them to produce various solid compositions, which are also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions comprising insoluble alpha-glucan particles having a high degree of crystallinity and small particle size. For example, the alpha-glucan particles can have a degree of crystallinity of at least about 0.65, and/or an average size of less than a micron. At least 50% of the glycosidic linkages of the insoluble alpha-glucan in the disclosed particles are alpha-1,3 glycosidic linkages. Further disclosed are methods of producing insoluble alpha-glucan particles, as well as their use in various applications and products.
