  • Patent number: 7127551
Abstract: A method for managing a flash memory is provided wherein logical addresses of data recorded in a data region of the flash memory are recorded in a corresponding spare region. An address mapping table is produced by scanning information recorded in the spare region. As a result, the flash memory can be embodied more effectively. In addition, it is possible to restore a mapping table even though the power is suddenly cut-off.

  • Patent number: 6842611
Abstract: A received data processing method in a wireless communication between devices that support a bluetooth wireless technology is provided. The method for processing data received through a wireless channel, in a communication device that supports bluetooth wireless communication, includes the steps of (a) a bluetooth module receiving data through a wireless channel, (b) the bluetooth module informing a bluetooth host that data received through a universal serial bus (USB) exists in the bluetooth module, and (c) the bluetooth host reading the data received by the bluetooth module in the step (a) through the USB when the bluetooth host is informed that received data exists in the step (b). According to the received data processing method, it is possible to prevent overhead from occurring due to unnecessary request for data by the bluetooth host generating request for data through the USB only when the received data exists in the bluetooth module.

  • Patent number: 6822602
Abstract: A method for generating and processing universal input codes, for which a universal remote control protocol is applied, and an apparatus thereof are provided. The method includes the steps of (a) setting a type code for indicating the type of an input device, and universal input codes which are mapped with local input codes according to the type of the input devices; (b) forming a data format by adding the type code and universal input codes set in step (a) and operation parameters for operating the type code and universal input codes. According to the method and apparatus, by unifying diverse input devices, manufacturing costs and developing time can be reduced, and user convenience can be provided.

  • Patent number: 6556543
Abstract: A method of determining the maximum hop count in a bus having a tree structure is provided. The method of determining the maximum hop count in a bus having a tree structure includes the steps of (a) configuring a first tree by setting an arbitrary node as a root node, (b) searching for the child node having the maximum length among the child nodes of the root node by scanning all the child nodes in the first tree, (c) configuring a second tree by setting the child node searched for in the step (b) as a new root node, (d) obtaining the maximum length by scanning all the child nodes in the second tree configured in the step (c), and (e) setting the maximum length obtained in the step (d) as the maximum hop count. Accordingly, it is possible to quickly obtain the maximum hop count.
