Abstract: Disclosed herein is a drum type washing machine with a door ring. A front member is attached to the front surface of a door frame to increase the strength of a door. A decorative part is formed either at the door frame or at the front member of the door frame to improve the appearance of the door. The door ring is mounted at a cabinet around the door. Consequently, the strength of a structure around the door is increased while the appearance of the front surface of the washing machine is improved.

Abstract: Disclosed is a sliding-folding type portable communication apparatus that provides advantages of both sliding type and folding type portable communication apparatuses. The sliding-folding type portable communication apparatus has a soft cover having a folding section, a hinge unit provided in the folding section, and a body coupled to the soft cover while facing one surface of the soft cover, the body sliding lengthwise along the soft cover and being opened/closed when the soft cover is extended/folded.

Abstract: Drum type washing machine and dryer and method for automatic drying by using the same is disclosed, wherein an accurate and detailed laundry amount is determined by using a temperature sensor mounted on a condensing duct of the drum type washing machine and dryer, and a user desired dryness is achieved according to the determined laundry amount, for which a structure is provided therein for enabling an accurate measurement of a temperature change of an inside of the duct, to perform an automatic drying algorithm, accurately.

Abstract: A display apparatus including a main casing, and an illuminator attached to the main casing and illuminating circumference thereof, and further including an OSD input part provided for a user; an illuminating inverter provided for the illuminator; an OSD processing part outputting an OSD signal; and a controller controlling the OSD processing part so as to display an OSD menu for the illuminator according to selection of the OSD input part, and controlling the illuminating inverter so as to drive the illuminator according to selection of the OSD menu through the OSD input part. With this configuration, the present invention provides a display apparatus having an illuminator and a method of controlling the same, in which electric power and/or luminous intensity of the illuminator is controlled through an OSD.

Abstract: A door of a drum-type washing machine, a method of manufacturing a door having hairlines for the drum-type washing machine, and a method of manufacturing a hairline sheet for the door are disclosed herein. The door of the drum-type washing machine comprises a door frame hingably provided to a front surface of the drum-type washing machine, and a door glass provided to a central hole opened through the door frame. The door frame is provided on the front surface thereof with a multiple ring-shaped hairline sheet. The door frame is reinforced by means of the hairline sheet, and enhanced in an overall aesthetic appearance of the door. The hairline sheet can be conveniently replaced with a new one, if necessary, so that, when the surface of the door is severely damaged or contaminated, these can be overcome by replacing the damaged or contaminated hairline sheet with the new one.

The outer tub is positioned in the casing to be tilted forward at a predetermined angle for containing washing water. The inner tub is positioned in the outer tub for washing and spin-drying laundry. Drive means is positioned under the outer tub to rotate the outer tub.

Abstract: The disclosure is a nonvolatile memory device operable in a plurality of programming cycles, including, a memory cell array formed of a plurality of memory cells connected to bit lines and word lines, a plurality of data buffers for receiving a plurality of data bits, a plurality of write drive circuits disposed between the memory cell array and the data buffers, and a circuit for generating a plurality of selection signals for controlling the write drive circuits, in response to a current level of a power supply voltage. A plurality of word lines are also included, a respective one of which is connected to the nonvolatile memory cells in a respective one of a plurality of columns. A plurality of lockable cells are also included. A respective one of the lockable cells is connected to a respective one of the plurality of word lines. Each of the lockable cells stores therein a first or a second binary value. The first binary value indicates that nonvolatile memory cells which are connected to the corresponding column of word lines cannot be erased or reprogrammed. The second binary value indicates that nonvolatile memory cells which are connected to the corresponding column of words lines can be erased or programmed.
