  • Publication number: 20250038856
Abstract: A communication device includes a first laser driver, a second laser driver, a light emitting and receiving component, and a processor. The light emitting and receiving component is connected to a passive optical network to send and/or receive an optical signal. The light emitting and receiving component converts the optical signal into a first electrical signal and outputs the first electrical signal to one of the first laser driver and the second laser driver. One of the first laser driver and the second laser driver converts the first electrical signal into a second electrical signal, and outputs the second electrical signal to the processor. The processor disables another one of the first laser driver and the second laser driver.

  • Publication number: 20140306021
Abstract: The present invention discloses an air conditioner control device, air conditioning system, and air conditioner control method. The air conditioner control device of the present invention comprises a base and a controller. The base senses a temperature or humidity of a first environment. The controller can be optionally combined with or detached from the base. When the controller is detached from the base, the controller senses a temperature or humidity of a second environment and communicates with the base using a wireless network protocol. By doing so, the output of an air conditioner can be flexibly adjusted depending on the environment that a user is in.

  • Patent number: 6614950
Abstract: An optical spectral coding scheme for fiber-optic code-division multiple-access (FO-CDMA) networks. The spectral coding is based on the pseudo-orthogonality of FO-CDMA codes properly written in the fiber Bragg grating (FBG) devices. For an incoming broadband optical signal, the designed Bragg wavelengths of the FBG will be reflected and spectrally coded with the written FO-CDMA address codes. Maximal-length sequence codes (M-sequence codes) are chosen as the signature or address codes to exemplify the coding and correlation processes in the FO-CDMA system. By assigning the N cyclic shifts of an M-sequence code vector to N users, the invention achieves an FO-CDMA network that can support N simultaneous users. The FO-CDMA encoding/decoding devices consist of a series of FBGs. To overcome the impact of multiple-access interference (MAI) on the performance of the FO-CDMA system, the FBG decoder is configured on the basis of orthogonal correlation functions of the nearly orthogonal M-sequence codes.
