  • Patent number: 9466974
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that may be implemented for overvoltage protection of bulk capacitors employed in power factor correction (PFC) circuitry components of switched mode power supply units (PSUs) using one or more inductive overvoltage feedback protection paths (OVPs) to monitor a voltage indicative of a PFC bulk capacitor by sensing the real time voltage at one or both of the primary and/or secondary side windings of a PSU transformer, and/or using an auxiliary windings of a PSU transformer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 30, 2014
Date of Patent: October 11, 2016
    Assignee: Dell Products L.P.

  • Patent number: 7052129
Abstract: A number of eyeglass frames with resilient structures and shields that have wide applicability are described. In one embodiment, an auxiliary frame has a resilient structure at its bridge area, and non-uniform shields. The shields have openings at their sides and retaining mechanisms. Due to its resilient nature, the auxiliary frame is adaptable to after-market sales for primary frames. In yet another embodiment, a primary frame has a resilient structure at its bridge area and has shields. Such a primary frame again allows it to be comfortably fitted to people whose heads are of different sizes and shapes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 19, 2003
Date of Patent: May 30, 2006
    Assignee: Contour Optik, Inc.
Inventors: David Chao, Pin Chou, Wei-Lien Huang, Chang-Yung Chang, Chien-Ho Lin, Ruey-Hong Hung
