    Abstract: A notching apparatus and method for an electrode substrate can improve the conventional problem of contamination of an electrode current collector by forming a punching oil supply hole in a punch and applying the punching oil to a wall surface of the punch through the punching oil supply hole, and can also discharge foreign objects generated when punching an electrode through the hole formed in the punch. The notching apparatus for the electrode substrate includes a die member on which the electrode substrate is disposed; and a punch member provided to be spaced above the die member and provided with a punch that moves up and down toward the die member. A wall surface of the punch is provided with one or more punching oil supply holes for applying the punching oil to an outer surface of the punch.

    Abstract: An electrode drying device includes an air supply fan, an air supply duct, a drying space, an exhaust fan, a recovery duct, a recovery damper, a main hygrometer, and a control part. The air supply fan supplies air through the air supply duct to the drying space in which an electrode is dried. The exhaust fan discharges air from the drying space through an exhaust duct and the recovery duct supplies the air discharged from the exhaust fan to the air supply fan. The recovery damper adjusts the amount of the air introduced into the recovery duct. The main hygrometer senses the absolute humidity of the air supplied to the drying space and the control part adjusts an opening degree of the recovery damper according to the absolute humidity sensed by the main hygrometer in order to adjust the absolute humidity of the air introduced into the drying space.

    Abstract: Provided is an electrode assembly manufacturing process comprising the following steps. First, wrapping a second separator around a laminate structure having alternating layers of positive electrodes, first separators, and negative electrodes. Second, simultaneously pressing the upper end and the lower end of the laminate structure including the second separator-3-2 to strengthen the adhesive strength between each layer of the laminate structure. Third, bonding the excess portions of the second separator-3-2 surrounding the structure, thereby adjusting to meet the standard requirements of the laminate structure. And fourth, bonding each of the bonded portions of the second separator to a respective adjacent portion of the second separator in the lateral dimension. The electrode assembly manufacturing process minimizes damage to the initial structure and allows the wrapping to suit the size of the structure, thereby increasing the utilization value of the electrode assembly.
