Publication number: 20240385653Abstract: A system and multiple hardware structures to provide secure, anti-disassembly, anti-tamper and uninterrupted network connection between laptop computer and wireless networks. An anti-disassembly structure may include a locking arm having a rear end fixed to a side of a plug, and a front end having an outwardly biased latch projection. When the plug is inserted into a socket, the locking arm inserts into a corresponding slot on a side of the socket. A front end of the locking arm may be bent inward, and the latch projection may extend into a lock hole on the side of the slot to complete the locking. Additional protective and tamper resistant features may be included, such as anti-assembly screws, waterproofing, and protective enclosures with shock resistance.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2024Publication date: November 21, 2024Inventors: Chang-Gang ZHANG, Xiaotian WU

Patent number: 8050234Abstract: A cellular wireless communication system and method of operation manages Walsh codes in order to ensure that sufficient Walsh codes are available to prevent call blocking and to support additional hand-off operations. In an initial operating condition, the cellular wireless communication system services normal hand-off operations in which a maximum number of cells and sectors may participate in hand-off. With hand-off operations according to the present invention, each cell or sector participating in hand-off for a mobile terminal uses a unique Walsh code for covering its forward link signals. When the number of Walsh codes available for servicing new calls is reduced so that it meets or exceeds a Walsh code availability threshold, the number of cells and sectors that may participate in hand-off is reduced from the maximum number. In the number of participating cells/sectors results in release or non-use of some Walsh codes.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2009Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Assignee: Ericsson ABInventors: Chang-Gang Zhang, Farhad Bassirat, Martin Kendall

Patent number: 6721571Abstract: A wireless communication system infrastructure services wireless communications within a service coverage area. A digital enclosure includes a plurality of wireless communication processing components that perform digital processing functions. A plurality of radio enclosures couple to the digital enclosure via communication links and each service wireless communications within a corresponding geographic area of the service coverage area. During operation of the wireless communication system infrastructure, two radio enclosures of the plurality of radio enclosures share a communication processing component of the digital enclosure while jointly servicing a single wireless communication. The two radio enclosures reside at respective geographic locations that are separated by a geographic distance such that each of the radio enclosures services a respective cell. Each of the radio enclosures may service a plurality of sectors that form the cell.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2000Date of Patent: April 13, 2004Assignee: Nortel Networks Ltd.Inventors: Scott H. Patent number: 6694144Abstract: An improved method and system for providing reliable paging deliveries in a wireless communication network is disclosed. The mobile telephone communication network includes a mobile switching center (MSC), a base station controller (BSC), and a base transceiver station (BTS). Initially, each page messages is categorized under a respective message class accordingly. In response to a page message received from the BSC, a specific gain is assigned to the BTS for transmitting the received page message according to a respective message class to which the received page message belongs.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2000Date of Patent: February 17, 2004Assignee: Nortel Networks LimitedInventor: Chang-Gang Zhang

Patent number: 5754945Abstract: In a cellular radio communications system, handoff of a mobile terminal from a serving base station to an adjacent base station is performed using two separate fuzzy logic procedures for handoff triggering and handoff targeting. For triggering, inputs to the fuzzy logic procedure are the signal strength for communications with the serving base station, a time since a failure to complete execution of a handoff, and, for mobile-assisted handoff (MAHO), signal strengths of communications between the mobile terminal and each of the adjacent base stations. If handoff is triggered, then handoff targeting is performed at a central unit. For targeting, inputs to the fuzzy logic procedure are the monitored signal strengths between the mobile terminal and each of the adjacent base stations, supplied either from the mobile terminal using MAHO or from the base stations, and the current loads of the adjacent base stations.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 1996Date of Patent: May 19, 1998Assignee: Northern Telecom LimitedInventors: Jing-Yue Lin, Chang-Gang Zhang, Hong Zhao
