The method for previewing an unread message includes: receiving information for activating an unread message application icon in a lock screen state, and displaying a detail entry containing a predetermined number of unread messages on a second active hotspot; dragging the unread message application icon to a third active hotspot to enter into a corresponding application main window, or dragging the unread message application icon to the detail entry to enter into a message window corresponding to the detail entry.
