    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for preparing ?-phenylethanol. The method comprises the following steps: (1) reducing a catalyst in a reactor in advance; (2) introducing pre-heated hydrogen gas to warm the reactor to a predetermined temperature; and (3) introducing a raw material styrene oxide to perform a hydrogenation reaction so as to obtain the ?-phenylethanol. The catalyst is Ni—Cu/Al2O3 nanosized self-assembled catalyst. The reactor is an ultrasonic field micro-packed bed reactor. The method of the present invention enables the selectivity of the ?-phenylethanol to reach 99% or more.

    Abstract: An organic-base functionalized silicalite-1 molecular sieve-encapsulated metal nanoparticles catalyst and a preparation method therefor, as well as a method for preparing 1,2-pentanediol from biomass-derived furfuryl alcohol by hydrogenolysis using said catalyst. When the catalyst is used in a reaction preparing 1,2-pentanediol from furfuryl alcohol by hydrogenolysis, the catalyst has high hydrogenolysis activity under relatively mild reaction conditions, significantly increasing the conversion rate of furfuryl alcohol and 1,2-pentanediol selectivity in the reaction, while also not generating obvious byproducts furfuryl alcohol polymers; the catalyst has good stability and long life, and may be recovered for reuse after the reaction is complete by means of a simple filtration, greatly reducing reaction costs and separation difficulty.

    Abstract: A cell model for in vitro evaluation of compound-induced skin sensitization and a constructing method therefor. The method for constructing the cell model comprises the steps of: designing and constructing an sgRNA expression vector based on CRISPR/Cas9 vector system; designing and constructing a homologous recombinant vector capable of knocking a reporter gene linked to a self-cleaving peptide sequence into a specific site of the expression frame of the HMOX1 gene; co-transfecting the homologous recombinant vector, an hCas9 plasmid and the sgRNA expression vector into a cell, and carrying out monoclonal expansion to obtain the cell model. The present invention obtains a HaCaT cell model in which a luciferase gene is knocked in before the stop codon of the HMOX1 gene by combination of CRISPR/CAS9 and a monoclonal cell technique. The cell model realizes synchronous expression of the luciferase gene and the HMOX1 gene, thereby effectively distinguishing sensitizing compounds from non-sensitizing compounds.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing 1,5-pentanediol via hydrogenolysis of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol. The catalyst used in the method is prepared by supporting a noble metal and a promoter on an organic polymer supporter or an inorganic hybrid material supporter, wherein the supporter is functionalized by a nitrogen-containing ligand. When the catalyst is used in the hydrogenolysis of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol to prepare 1,5-pentanediol, a good reaction activity and a high selectivity can be achieved. The promoter and the nitrogen-containing ligand in the supporter are bound to the catalyst through coordination, thereby the loss of the promoter is significantly decreased, and the catalyst has a particularly high stability. The lifetime investigation of the catalyst, which has been reused many times or used continuously for a long term, suggests that the catalyst has no obvious change in performance, thus reducing the overall process production cost.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting a zero crossing or desired phase angle of a power line signal having a variable amplitude uses a ratio between a peak amplitude of the power line signal and the amplitude of the power line signal at a desired phase angle for a known amplitude version of the power line signal to detect when a variable amplitude version of the power line signal is at the desired phase angle or zero crossing. The detection of the phase angle is used to determine if a notch is present in the power line signal. A substantially constant width pulse is generated if a notch is detected regardless of the amplitude of the power line voltage or current. The invention is particularly useful in a lighting system for generating and detecting pulses used to communicate information from a power line communication controller to a series of electronic ballasts over a power line used to power the ballasts. The information can be used to control a dimming function of the ballasts.
