    Abstract: Disclosed is a catalyst component for olefin polymerization. The catalyst component comprises magnesium, titanium, halogen and an internal electron donor. The internal electron donor includes an imine compound with a ketone group as shown in Formula I. Disclosed further is a method of preparing the catalyst component, and a catalyst for olefin polymerization containing the catalyst component. When the catalyst is used in olefin polymerization reaction especially propene polymerization reaction, the catalyst has a high long-term activity and good hydrogen response, and the obtained polymer has characteristics of an adjustable isotactic index and a relatively wide molecular weight distribution.

In the present disclosure, a catalyst composition having an external electron donor that contains a malonate compound is used in olefin polymerization, in particular propene polymerization, and can significantly improve catalytic activity and hydrogen response of the catalyst and expand molecular weight distribution of polymers, which facilitates development of different polymers.

The catalyst according to the present disclosure has significantly improved polymerization activity, hydrogen response, and stereoselectivity. According to the present disclosure, when the catalyst system containing a diol diester compound as shown in Formula (I) of the present disclosure is used in olefin polymerization, the catalyst shows good comprehensive performance, including high catalytic activity. In particular, in the presence of highly concentrated hydrogen, the catalyst has an improved hydrogen response and/or isotacticity of the polymers obtained can be significantly improved.

The electron donors are selected from at least one succinate compounds of following general formula (I), and the content of said succinate compounds with the structure as shown in Formula (II) in said succinate compounds (I) is less than 100%, but not less than 51.0 wt %. Compared with the mesomer whose content with the structure as shown in Formula (II) is 100%, the catalyst component provided by the present invention not only greatly decreases the manufacturing cost, but also improves certain properties of the catalyst, for example the molecular weight distribution of polymer obtained by catalytic reaction using said catalyst is wider, which is beneficial for improving processing properties of polymers.
