Abstract: A circuit and operating method for an integrated interface of a PDA and a wireless communication system are disclosed. The circuit includes a PDA-turn-on-wireless-communication-system signal line, a PDA-reset-wireless-communication-system signal line, a PDA-state signal line, a wireless-communication-system-state/wake-up-PDA signal line and two serial ports, wherein the serial ports are electrically connected between the PDA and the wireless communication system, and one of the two ports is used to transmit control signal and status data, another one of the two ports is used to transmit digital data signals. Moreover, the PDA-turn-on-wireless-communication-system signal line and the PDA-reset-wireless-communication-system signal line makes the PDA able to turn on and reset the wireless communication system, respectively. The PDA-state signal line and the wireless-communication-system-state/wake-up-PDA signal line transmit the status of the PDA and wireless communication system to each other.

Abstract: One embodiment of a system includes a sophisticated volume hologram for dispersing an incident optical signal with uniform spectrum over an input plane to an output pattern with non-uniform spatial-spectral information, where the sophisticated volume hologram includes a plurality of holograms that map different input wavelengths into a diverse spatial pattern. The system further includes a detector for receiving and detecting light dispersed by the sophisticated volume hologram. Other systems and methods are also provided.

Abstract: An in-line skate includes a sole plate having wheels rotatably connected to the underside of the sole plate and two elongated first slots are longitudinally defined through the sole plate. A rear portion of vamp is connected to a connection wall on the sole plate. A toe part has two elongated second slots longitudinally defined therethrough and a front portion of vamp is connected to the toe part. The toe part is connected to a top of a front end of the sole plate. Two adjusting members extend through the second slots in the top part and the first slots in the sole plate and are cooperated with two quick-release levers located at the underside of the sole plate such that the toe part can be moved relative to the sole plate by operation of the adjusting members.

Abstract: A touch panel threshold pressure setup method and apparatus. In this touch panel threshold pressure setup method, at first multiple touches are performed when the setup is run, and with this, the multiple pressure values can be obtained. Then, the obtained pressure values are averaged to obtain an average pressure value. Finally, the average pressure value itself or a value obtained from a certain multiplier multiplied by the obtained average pressure value is used as a threshold pressure value. Moreover, the pressure value mentioned above can be represented by the contact resistance value if the resistance type touch panel is used. However, the pressure value is inverse proportional to the contact resistance value that represents it.

Abstract: A positioning device for a walking chair is able to provide a positioning effect on the walking chair, so that a baby sitting within the walking chair will not be able to rotate freely with the walking chair, and thus the safety of the baby is ensured.

Abstract: An infant training walker has a base platform, a disk-shaped tread member rotatably supported approximately flush therewith, and a belt-shaped restraint spaced above the platform in eccentric relation to the tread member for laterally restraining an occupant of the walker. Preferably, a seat element having leg openings depends from the restraint, and the restraint is rotatable within a tray having an array of toy elements. Thus the occupant is encouraged to exercise in a variety of angular orientations relative to the tread member. The occupant can walk with both feet on the tread member, and can also keep one foot on the platform while moving the other foot on the tread member. The tray is adjustable in height, being supported from the platform on telescoping legs. A vertically extending seat back attachment can augment a back-supporting portion of the restraint when the walker is used by larger toddlers.
