Abstract: Various systems and methods are described for customizing photo presentations. One particular method comprises receiving by the media display system, a plurality of photos depicting individuals and displaying one or more controls for specifying an action to one or more selected individuals. The method further comprises receiving a selection of one or more individuals, generating an action list according to the selection, and customizing the photo presentation comprising photos from among the received plurality of photos according to the action list and according to the analyzed facial regions.

Abstract: A framework that enables financial services companies to manage and track information about a sales force is provided. The framework includes object models for managing distributors information, for validating and tracking licenses and credentials, for creating customized contracts, and for maintaining compensation structures. The framework allows for configuring compensations, providing financial services companies a toolkit for creating and modeling their complex commission schedules used to compensate their sales force. The framework also provides modeling tools for agreements and contracts between a financial services company or provider and the distributors who sell their products. The framework has a multi-component architecture comprising multiple modules, multiple data processing engines, a backbone and multiple data sources. The processing modules carry out information processing using one or more data processing engines.

Abstract: A rekeyable lock cylinder which inserted a first matched key for unlock in a first direction and utilized a rekeying tool for rekeying includes a plurality of first rack components, a plurality of second rack components and a guide bar having a first surface engaged with the first rack components. The second rack components are movable via contacting against the first matched key. The guide bar has a second surface, a first side, a second side, and a tool-receiving portion recessed into the first side. The tool-receiving portion is parallel to the first direction, and the first rack components are actuated by mentioned guide bar via acting force applied by the rekeying tool accommodated in the tool-receiving portion therefore enabling the first rack components to move in a transverse direction relative to the first direction and disengaging the first rack components from the second rack components.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a non-volatile memory is provided. The method comprises steps of providing a substrate. Thereafter, a plurality of first doped regions are formed in the substrate and then a plurality of trenches are formed in a portion of the first doped regions. A plurality of second doped regions are formed in a portion of the substrate under the bottoms of the trenches respectively. Then, a charge storage layer is formed conformal to a surface of the substrate and a conductive layer is formed over the substrate, wherein the conductive layer covers the charge storage layer and fills in the trenches.

Abstract: A contact structure having both a compliant bump and a testing area and a manufacturing method for the same is introduced. The compliant bump is formed on a conductive contact of the silicon wafer or a printed circuit board. The core of the bump is made of polymeric material, and coated with a conductive material. In particular, the compliant bump is disposed on the one side of the conductive contact structure that includes both the bump and the testing area, wherein the testing area allows the area to be functionality tested, so as to prevent damage of the coated conductive material over the compliant bump during a probe testing.

The strip protrusion groups are disposed on the second surface. Each of the strip protrusion groups includes a first strip protrusion and a second strip protrusion. The first strip protrusion has a first strip surface and a second strip surface inclined relative to the second surface. The second strip protrusion has a third strip surface and a fourth strip surface inclined relative to the second surface. An average slope of the first strip surface is not equal to an average slope of the third strip surface. An average slope of the second strip surface is not equal to an average slope of the fourth strip surface. A backlight module and a stereo display apparatus are also provided.

Abstract: A method of patterning a metal alloy material layer having hafnium and molybdenum. The method includes forming a patterned mask layer on a metal alloy material layer having hafnium and molybdenum on a substrate. The patterned mask layer is used as a mask and an etching process is performed using an etchant on the metal alloy material layer having hafnium and molybdenum so as to form a metal alloy layer having hafnium and molybdenum. The etchant includes at least nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid. The patterned mask layer is removed.

Abstract: A method for generating a lookup table for color correction for a display device includes obtaining measured stimulus values for grayscales of primaries displayed on the display device, obtaining target stimulus values for the grayscales of the primaries, and obtaining the lookup table by comparing the measured stimulus values for the grayscales of the primaries and the target stimulus values for the grayscales of the primaries. The present invention employs the measured display characteristic to calculate the corresponding lookup table for color correction for the display device for achieving desired color temperature and brightness curve. It makes the adjustment of color temperature and brightness more accurate and quicker to reduce cost.

Abstract: An organic thin film transistor (OTFT) and a metal-insulator-metal (MIM) capacitor using silk protein as a dielectric material, and methods for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The OTFT of the present invention comprises: a substrate; a gate electrode disposed on the substrate; a gate insulating layer containing silk protein, which is disposed on the substrate and covers the gate electrode; an organic semiconductor layer; and a source electrode and a drain electrode, wherein the organic semiconductor layer, the source electrode and the drain electrode are disposed over the gate insulating layer.

Abstract: A data access method for accessing a non-volatile memory module is provided. The data access method includes configuring a plurality of logical addresses and grouping the logical addresses into logical blocks to map to the physical blocks of the non-volatile memory module, and a host system formats the logical addresses into one partition by using a file system and the partition stores at least one file and a file description block corresponding to the file. The data access method further includes searching an end mark corresponding to entry values of the file description block, setting logical addresses storing the end mark as default pattern addresses, and setting values stored in the logical addresses as default values corresponding to the default pattern addresses. Accordingly, the data access method can divide one partition into a write protect area and a writable area by updating data stored in the default pattern addresses.

Abstract: An improved semiconductor structure consists of interconnects in an upper interconnect level connected to interconnects in a lower interconnect level through use of a conductive protrusion located at the bottom of a via opening in an upper interconnect level, the conductive protrusion extends upward from bottom of the via opening and into the via opening. The improved interconnect structure with the conductive protrusion between the upper and lower interconnects enhances overall interconnect reliability.

Abstract: A method of making a wax mold for a golf club head includes the steps of: a) positioning a male die in a cavity of a female die; b) injecting and filling dissolvable wax into a gap between an outer surface of the male die and an inner surface of the female die; c) cooling and solidifying the dissolvable wax in the gap to obtain a wax shell; d) removing the wax shell from the male die and the female die, the wax shell being provided with a hole extending through inner and outer surfaces of the wax shell; and e) inserting a wax plug into the hole to form the wax mold.

Abstract: Disclosed is an improved light-emitting diode, which can be a PLCC or SMD type light-emitting diode. The light-emitting diode includes a package body, at least one pair of conductive terminals, and an optic lens. The package body has an end surface, a circumferential surface extending from the end surface, and a receptacle for accommodating a light-emitting chip. The pair of conductive terminals is fixed to the package body. The optic lens covers the end surface of the package body and is even expanded to cover the circumferential surface of the package body. In this way, effects of improved bonding strength, improved optic advantages, being easy to adjust to a desired angle with the optic lens, and alleviation of troubles caused by overflow of adhesive can be realized.

Accordingly, solder bleeding and short circuits are prevented.

Abstract: Commercial size of spending wallet (“CSoSW”) is the total business spend of a business including cash but excluding bartered items. Commercial share of wallet (“CSoW”) is the portion of the spending wallet that is captured by a particular financial company. A modeling approach utilizes various data sources to provide outputs that describe a company's spend capacity. Private equity firms and other investors of small businesses can use the CSoW/CSoSW modeling approach to more accurately evaluate small and privately held companies, both during investment and for evaluating prospective investments. Over-the-counter securities trading systems can also use this modeling approach to provide more accurate information and/or rankings of listed companies to their customers.

A rigid secondary, intergranular-corrosion-resistant electrical connector (32) is electrically connected between the lead-in (16) and the one of the connection ends (26) of the one of the electrodes (22), the rigid secondary electrical connector (32) by-passing the area “A” that is subject to intergranular corrosion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a shift register having a plurality of stages electrically coupled to each other in series. Each stage includes a first and second TFT transistor. The first TFT transistor has a get electrically coupled to the output of the immediately prior stage, a drain electrically coupled to the boost point of the stage, and a source configured to receive one of the first and second control signals. The second TFT transistor has a get electrically coupled to the output of the immediately next stage, a drain and a source electrically coupled the drain and the source of the first transistor, respectively.

Abstract: An electric power protection circuit connected in series to a secondary side circuit of a transformer in a switch mode power supply includes a voltage/current limiting device to get an electric power signal output from the secondary side circuit of the transformer that goes through current and voltage limitation before being output and a constant current/voltage controller to get the electric power signal which has the current and voltage limited by the voltage/current limiting device. The electric power signal further is undergone constant voltage/current control to achieve voltage overshoot protection.
