  • Publication number: 20070085856
Abstract: Color adjustment includes dividing a color space into m tints, and then dividing each tint into n small areas. A chromaticity of a first color is adjusted by a first predetermined amount. An amount smaller than the first predetermined amount is generated according to the first predetermined amount. A chromaticity of a color close to the first color is adjusted by the amount smaller than the first predetermined amount. The adjusted amount of each small area decreases progressively. Similarly, a gain of a second color is adjusted by a second predetermined amount. An amount smaller than the second predetermined amount is generated according to the second predetermined amount. A gain of a color close to the second color is adjusted by the amount smaller than the second predetermined amount. Similarly, the adjusted amount of each small area decreases progressively.

  • Publication number: 20060197774
Abstract: To strengthen a color of an image pixel without producing contour artifacts includes generating a relation between luminance and maximum chrominance vectors in each sub-color palette, generating a saturation factor of the image pixel according to a maximum chrominance vector corresponding to luminance of the image pixel, and adjusting a chrominance vector of the image pixel according to the saturation factor.

  • Publication number: 20050057688
Abstract: A method for separating the motion and stationary video pixels during the video de-interlacing process by adjusting the fields' length in the temporal domain and selecting the configurable patterns in the spatial domain, and the method comprises steps of: providing an interlaced video sequence of continuous temporal domain, the interlaced video sequence contains multiple first Fields (such as odd fields) and multiple second Fields (such as even fields), and the multiple first Fields (such as odd fields) and multiple second Fields (such as even fields) are mutually interlaced videos.

  • Publication number: 20040258324
Abstract: A method for dynamic contrast enhancement by area gray-level detection with an image comprising steps of: transferring color space of said image from color space of RGB to that with brightness Y; making a brightness distribution histogram based on brightness of said image to get a corresponding relation between a gray level value and a count; dividing the whole brightness distribution into even brightness distribution areas by gray level value, and calculating each amount of counts of each brightness distribution area; according to said amount of counts, deciding a transfer curve to do brightness histogram equalization to the image for forming a new image with enhanced contrast.

  • Publication number: 20040179097
Abstract: A robust layered 3:2 pulldown film mode source detection method is proposed. The method provides video signals of three fields, a current field, a last field and a next field. The video signals are used to determine a film source. The method comprises steps of: define a plurality of layers and each layer has a threshold and a counter; compare each difference between pixels of the last field and the next field with each layer's threshold to obtain a comparing result; according to said comparing result, determine a change of said counter of each layer; and determine a result sequence by said counter to decide said film mode source.
