  • Patent number: 8368625
Abstract: An exemplary active matrix display device includes a display panel comprising a plurality of scanning lines extending along a horizontal axis, a plurality of data lines extending along a vertical axis, and a plurality of dummy data lines. Two scanning lines and two data lines define two display pixels; each of the plurality of data lines is connected to at least two adjacent display pixels along the horizontal axis, and the at least two adjacent display pixels are driven by the two scanning lines, respectively. Each of the plurality of dummy data lines is disposed between two random adjacent data lines and is provided with gray scale voltage signals by a driving circuit of the display panel, thereby forming coupling capacitances between each of the plurality of dummy data lines and two pixel electrodes of the two display pixels.

  • Publication number: 20090152730
Abstract: An exemplary interconnected structure for transferring a voltage signal to a thin film transistor (TFT) array substrate includes a first metal layer (310), a second metal layer (320) isolated from the first metal layer and a conductive layer (340) isolated from the second metal layer. The first metal layer is electrically connected to the conductive layer via at least one first contact hole (351, 352) thereby obtaining a first contacting area between the first metal layer and the conductive layer. The second metal layer is electrically connected to the conductive layer via at least one second contact hole (353, 354) thereby obtaining a second contacting area between the second metal layer and the conductive layer. A radio of the sum of the first contacting area and the second contacting area to the voltage value of the voltage signal is equal to or greater than 0.233 ?m2/mv.

  • Publication number: 20080218675
Abstract: An exemplary liquid crystal display panel (1) includes an upper substrate (111) and a lower substrate (121) parallel to each other, a liquid crystal layer (10) sandwiched between the upper and the lower substrates, and data lines (13) and driving lines (14) formed at the lower substrate. The data lines and the driving lines cross each other, thereby defining pixel regions. Each of the pixel regions includes a first spacer (17) and a second spacer (18). The first spacer is arranged between the upper substrate and the corresponding data line. The second spacer is arranged between the upper substrate and the corresponding driving line. A predetermined gap is defined between the first spacer and the data line.

  • Patent number: 7375785
Abstract: An in-plane switching (IPS) liquid crystal display device (100) includes pixel units each having a storage capacitor. The storage capacitor is formed by a common electrode (112), a drain electrode (103), and a counter electrode (110). The common electrode is electrically coupled with the counter electrode. The counter electrode substantially covers the drain electrode, for shielding unexpected coupling effects on the drain electrode due to data signals on a data line (101) driving other pixels of the liquid crystal display device.

  • Publication number: 20060139558
Abstract: A liquid crystal panel (100) includes a first and a second substrates (110, 120), a liquid crystal layer (130) disposed between the first and second substrates, and a sealant (140) disposed at a peripheral region between the first and second substrates for sealing liquid crystal molecules between the first and second substrates. A baffle-wall (150) is disposed inside the sealant at a peripheral portion of the second substrate. The baffle-wall, the sealant and the first and second substrates cooperatively define at least one retaining space (160) therebetween. The baffle-wall and the first substrate cooperatively define at least one channel (170) therebetween, the channel communicating between the liquid crystal layer and the retaining space. During manufacturing, the baffle-wall helps prevent air bubbles from returning to the liquid crystal layer. Thus the liquid crystal panel has a high display quality.
