  • Publication number: 20070223117
Abstract: The present invention discloses an optical disc drive with an explosion proof structure comprising a frame, a first guiding member pivoted to the frame, a second guiding member pivoted to the first guiding member, and a rotating member pivoted to the frame corresponding to an access opening on a side of the frame. When the rotating member rotates to a first position, the access opening is covered by a stopping flange of the rotating member, and when the rotating member rotates to a second position and a compact disc is inserted into the access opening, the compact disc drives the first guiding member and then to drive the second guiding member rotate the rotating member from the second position to the first position. Therefore, a fragment of a cracked compact disc inside the optical disc drive is prevented from jetting out of the optical disc drive effectively.

  • Publication number: 20060176975
Abstract: A method of auto-I/Q calibration in modulator and demodulator, including DC cancellation, gain imbalance and phase error calibration is provided for implementation in a front-end circuit without the use of baseband processing signal. In modulator auto-I/Q calibration, the gain amplifier, peak detector, DC gain cell and comparator and auto-I/Q calibration control logic form a calibration loop between modulator output and input buffer. The DC test vectors for their corresponding calibrations are applied to modulator to determine I/Q mismatch. In the calibration loop, the peak detector convert the carrier leakage, differential signal power level caused by the I/Q path gain mismatch and by the local quadrature mismatch into DC signal power level. The comparator is used to measure the DC different on peak deter output under different input test vector.

  • Publication number: 20030193879
Abstract: A suspension device for an optical media storage device having a spindle motor. The suspension device includes a loader, a traverse and a dynamic mass. The traverse is disposed on the loader and has a first weighted end. The mass center of the traverse is on the first weighted end and the spindle motor is disposed on the first weighted end. The dynamic mass is disposed on the traverse and has a second weighted end. The mass center of the dynamic mass is on the second weighted end and the second weighted end is located above the first weighted end. Thus, when the spindle motor operates, the vibration of the optical media storage device is reduced tremendously.
